Iran Initiates 83rd Wave of Operation True Promise 4 Targeting US-Israel Assets

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has reported the launch of the 83rd phase of Operation True Promise 4, which commenced in the early hours of Friday. This operation specifically aimed at crucial American and Israeli military sites throughout the region, utilizing advanced missiles and drones as confirmed by state media.

Targets of the operation included several strategic locations, such as storage facilities and oil depots in Ashdod, as well as a military personnel site situated in the Modi’in settlement. In addition, the IRGC conducted strikes on a US military information exchange center located within the region.

Further actions included assaults on American bases at Al-Dhafra and Al-Udeiri. The IRGC also targeted maintenance and storage hangars designated for transport aircraft and drones at Ali Al-Salem Air Base. Notably, the strikes extended to fuel tanks affiliated with US military jets and fighter aircraft, along with a maintenance and repair hangar for the Patriot missile system at Sheikh Isa Base.

Advanced Technology in Military Operations

According to statements released by the IRGC, the military operations employed a combination of long-range and medium-range missile systems, utilizing both solid and liquid fuel missiles. The strikes showcased precision capabilities, including multi-warhead and suicide drones as well as loitering munitions.

The escalation of these military operations comes despite indications from US President Donald Trump suggesting a potential easing of military actions against Iran. Trump had acknowledged that Iran requested a temporary halt to American attacks aimed at its energy infrastructure, proposing to extend the pause from seven days to ten days, running until April 6. Nonetheless, the joint US-Israeli military strikes persisted.

Increased Military Tensions and Response

Analysis from a defense think tank revealed that the combined military forces of the US and Israel have intensified their efforts, continuing to target Iranian missile systems, launchers, and related production facilities. Recent strikes have also focused on the Iranian defense industrial base, with reports suggesting that the 7th Artesh Air Force Tactical Airbase in Shiraz, Fars Province, was among the locations struck.

Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, reiterated concerns regarding military operations occurring in proximity to Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. This marks ongoing tensions in the region, with military actions reportedly occurring as recently as Tuesday evening.
