India and Switzerland Reaffirmed Their Commitment to Ethical AI

Torsten Schwede, President of the Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for artificial intelligence during the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Speaking with media representatives, Schwede noted the mutual commitment of both nations to leverage AI for societal advantages. He expressed his appreciation for PM Modi’s opening address, highlighting the relevance of the issues raised regarding AI’s impact on society.

Dialogue on Ethical AI to Continue in Geneva

Schwede remarked on the harmony between Switzerland and India concerning the ethical implementation of AI technologies. He mentioned that discussions initiated in New Delhi would be furthered during a meeting scheduled for the following year in Geneva, reinforcing the ongoing collaboration between the two countries.
