CSR for Road Safety: Helmet Distribution Drive for School Children in Shimla

Shimla, India: TVS Motor Company, a global leader in the two and three-wheeler segment, reinforced its commitment to road safety and social responsibility through a community initiative in Himachal Pradesh. As part of its ongoing ‘Protect Little Riders’ campaign under the #TVSRide4Safety initiative, the company distributed 100 children’s helmets to students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Shimla.

The event was graced by Shri Arjit Singh Thakur (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force, and Shri Anil Walia, a distinguished dignitary in the education sector, along with senior leadership from TVS Motor Company — Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Head of Business – Premium, and Mr. R. Babu, Senior Vice President – R&D. Their presence underscored the collective commitment towards promoting road safety awareness and community education in the region.

This initiative is aimed to instil the importance of safety and responsibility in young minds, inspiring them to become conscious and aware citizens of tomorrow. In 2023, TVS Motor Company also partnered with KidZania to create a first-of-its-kind Road Safety Experience Zone, offering children an engaging and controlled environment to learn the basics of safe motorcycling. This collaboration encourages discipline, responsibility, and respect for road safety from a young age.
