Blinkit Goes Royal: Viral Video Shows Horseback Delivery in Rajasthan

The CSR Journal Magazine

E-commerce delivery app Blinkit is drawing all attention on social media, not for any customer complaint, but this time for a video from Rajasthan. In the viral video, an unusual sight is captured: an old man is seen riding a horse while carrying a bag in broad daylight. What draws attention is not the horse or the old man, but the yellow Blinkit delivery backpack.

What is the viral video of Blinkit?

A video shot from a moving car shows a rider moving forward amid traffic while wearing a Blinkit delivery bag. It is not yet confirmed if the person was actually making a delivery, but social media users flooded the internet with memes and their own stories. Some social media users joked that the old man was taking the e-commerce delivery app to another level by riding a horse.

What made the post even more hilarious was its caption, which read: “Even online deliveries could arrive in royal style.” “This is Rajasthan, bro…!!! The youth aren’t even getting the chance to ride a mare… And the old men are doing online deliveries on horses…” the post read.

The caption drew many comments like “royal express,” “heritage logistics,” and “horse-powered 10-minute delivery.”

What made the viral Blinkit video most loved?

On the surface level the video seemed very normal, but the deadly combination of charming yet meaningful elements makes it interesting. The e-commerce delivery app is known for quick deliveries most commonly by scooters, motorcycles, and electric vehicles. However, for the first time somebody was seen opting for a horse and that too in a region well known for its regal traditions, making this a perfect blend of old and modern. The state Rajasthan is commonly associated with forts, palaces, horses and royal ceremonies, so when this video went viral, netizens could not keep their calm. This video is a perfect fusion of a contemporary delivery bag with a traditional mode of transport.

While the video has circulated widely and people have made their own narratives, there is no official verification that the old man was delivering an order for Blinkit.
