A Zepto delivery agent from Bengaluru has gone viral on social media after posting his weekly earnings on Reddit. In the now-popular post, the agent shared a screenshot showing he earned ₹21,000 in one week by delivering 387 orders during 12-hour shifts, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. After deducting daily fuel expenses of ₹300, his net profit stood at approximately ₹18,906.

In the caption, he wrote, “What I earned in a week (working morning 10am to night 10pm) as zepto delivery.”

Rain Bonus and Smart Scheduling

The delivery partner explained that his earnings are influenced by various factors such as weather, demand, and time slots. He particularly benefits from surge bonuses during rainy conditions, especially when there is light but persistent drizzle. In another week, he claimed to have made ₹12,000 by working just three days, two of which had steady evening rain, resulting in increased order flow and higher payouts.

He also shared that he strategically adjusts his work hours during peak periods, often working early mornings or late nights when there are fewer delivery agents and more orders.

Order Volume and Delivery Speed

Some Reddit users were skeptical of his numbers, questioning how he could manage such a high volume of orders, nearly five deliveries per hour. Responding to queries, the agent explained that many orders are clubbed together and delivered to nearby locations. Most deliveries are within 2–3 km, and having knowledge of the area allows him to complete routes in under 8 minutes. He added that post-8 PM, reduced traffic helps him speed up delivery time.

Mixed Social Media Reactions

The post triggered a mix of admiration and skepticism online. While some users praised the delivery agent’s work ethic and dedication, others questioned the legitimacy of the numbers. One user wrote, “This feels fake,” while another said, “That’s some good profit, keep hustling!”

Addressing the doubts, the agent clarified that not every week is this profitable, and his results are not typical for all delivery agents. He highlighted that success in this line of work requires long hours, consistency, and the ability to adapt to high-demand situations.
