This initiative was designed to provide essential healthcare services to local residents, particularly the elderly, who often struggle to access medical facilities. During the outreach, healthcare professionals visited more than 40 households and conducted medical examinations for over 120 individuals.

The services included monitoring of blood pressure and weight, health counseling, and the distribution of medicines for common ailments such as back pain, knee pain, and other routine health issues.

Commitment to Community Welfare and Civil-Military Relations

The Assam Rifles highlighted that this outreach effort underscores their commitment to community welfare and the strengthening of relationships between the military and local citizens. This initiative reflects their identity as “Friends of the North East People” and “Sentinels of the North East.” By engaging in direct interactions with the community, the Assam Rifles aims to enhance trust and cooperation with local populations, thereby contributing positively to civil-military ties in the region.
