During the event, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a much-anticipated foldable model, reportedly named the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra. The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro is rumoured to feature new colour options, including dark cherry, light blue, and silver, while the classic black finish may be phased out. A possible new element is a smaller version of the Dynamic Island cutout at the front, which is intended to enhance the device’s visual appeal without a complete design overhaul.

The anticipated A20 Pro chip may be a significant talking point, reportedly manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 2nm process. Industry insiders suggest that this chip could offer an 18 per cent performance increase over the A19 Pro, all while consuming up to 30 per cent less power, facilitating smoother performance for demanding applications and AI tasks.

Additionally, the forthcoming device is projected to incorporate a new battery technology that could represent one of its most substantial improvements. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is likely to contain a 5,425 mAh battery, ensuring enhanced longevity compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Alongside this, the introduction of Apple’s in-house C2 modem may contribute to improved power management, further enhancing daily battery performance.

Camera Innovations and Technological Underpinnings

Camera advancements are another focal point for the iPhone 18 Pro series. After years of utilising a fixed aperture system, Apple may introduce a variable-aperture main camera that adjusts according to lighting conditions. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that the starting price in the United States could reach approximately $1,199, while in India, estimates indicate a base price of around Rs 1,39,900, up from Rs 1,34,900 for the iPhone 17 Pro. Early leaks suggest the increase could range from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000, varying by model and storage configuration. The iPhone 18 Pro Max may begin at Rs 1,54,900.

It is essential to emphasise that these specifications and features have not been officially confirmed by Apple. However, there is a possibility that, like the confirmed launch date, these details could hold true.
