Angry Over Scolding, UP Teen Stages Fake Suicide Plot, Kills Father With Friends’ Help

The CSR Journal Magazine

In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, police have uncovered that a Class 11 student allegedly orchestrated his father’s murder with the help of two schoolmates. The victim, 45-year-old farmer Tasveer Singh, was shot dead on 20 September 2025 after being deceitfully summoned to his farmland through a false suicide alert involving his son.

Police Probe Turns Toward Family After Weeks

Initially, an FIR was filed against unidentified attackers based on a complaint by the victim’s brother, Kashmir Singh. For nearly two months, investigators explored multiple angles, including personal rivalry, but made no progress.

The breakthrough came when police traced the mobile number used to call the farmer on the day of the murder. This led officers to discover the involvement of Tasveer Singh’s own teenage son and his two friends, aged 16 and 15.

Motive Rooted in Anger Over Reprimands

According to Circle Officer Stuti Singh, the boy had recently fallen into “bad company.” A day before the killing, the father had scolded and beaten his son for his behaviour. Deeply resentful, the boy allegedly fought with his father and later conspired with his classmates to “teach him a lesson.” The plan involved falsely informing the father that his son intended to kill himself by suicide near the fields.

Accused Used Country-Made Pistol, Then Fled

When Tasveer Singh rushed to the location and attempted to calm his son, the teenager allegedly shot him with a country-made pistol. The three boys fled, leaving him critically injured. The farmer was taken to a Meerut hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have arrested the two minor accomplices, who reportedly confessed to making the call at the son’s request. The primary accused, the victim’s son, remains absconding. Officers are also investigating how the minor obtained the firearm.

All Three Accused Are Classmates

Police confirmed that all three boys study in the same Class 11 section at a local school. Authorities continue their search for the prime accused and are probing the source of the pistol used in the crime.
