The CSR Journal Magazine

Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is set to participate in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Summit 2026, currently taking place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The summit commenced on February 16 and will conclude on February 20, 2026. An official announcement indicated that Naidu will share the stage with Himanta Biswa Sharma, the Chief Minister of Assam, and Jitin Prasad, the Union Minister, during the AI Accelerators Economic Growth Plenary session.

MoUs to Be Signed with Several Companies

During the summit, the Andhra Pradesh government plans to enter into seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various organizations, including IBM, the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC), IIT Madras, and Vysar. These agreements will focus on enhancing AI infrastructure and developing quantum skills within the state.

Engagements with Industry Leaders and International Delegations

In addition to his role in the plenary session, Chief Minister Naidu is scheduled to participate in a round-table discussion themed “Competitiveness through Artificial Intelligence” alongside Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Børge Brende, the CEO of the World Economic Forum. Furthermore, Naidu will hold a meeting with a UK delegation and engage with managing directors and CEOs from prominent companies, including Aramco, Adobe, and AutoDesk.

Participatory Scope of the Summit

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 marks a significant gathering, featuring representatives from over 110 countries, 30 international organizations, and participation from approximately 45 ministers. This summit represents the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South.

Its aim is to foster discussions surrounding the global implications of artificial intelligence, linking with the national vision of “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya,” which translates to welfare and happiness for all.

Foundational Principles Guiding the Summit

The theme of the summit pivots around three foundational pillars—People, Planet, and Progress. These pillars serve as a framework for advocating human-centric AI that prioritizes rights, promotes environmental sustainability, and supports equitable technological advancement. The event underscores the importance of international collaboration in addressing the governance, safety, and societal impact of artificial intelligence.
