The bodies of a 35-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were discovered concealed within a bed storage box at their home in Delhi on Friday night, according to police officials. At approximately 10:30 PM, a call was made to the Sarita Vihar police station, alerting them to the grim finding. Local police officers responded swiftly to the scene.

Upon arrival, law enforcement personnel located the bodies of the woman and her young daughter hidden inside a compartment of the bed. Both victims were subsequently transported to AIIMS Hospital, where medical staff declared them dead on arrival. Senior police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police, were soon present at the crime scene. Investigation teams and forensic specialists were deployed to process the area and gather important evidence.

Post Reports Reveals the Cause of Death

Authorities have identified the deceased as Jyoti, aged 35, and her daughter, aged six. An initial medical examination revealed no visible signs of injury. However, a post-mortem conducted on Saturday suggested that the cause of death was likely due to strangulation and asphyxiation. The results of the final post-mortem report are still pending.

During the preliminary investigation and subsequent local inquiries, police identified a key suspect, Deen Dayal, a 35-year-old accountant who lives in the same apartment building as the victims. In light of these developments, police have filed a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Specialized teams are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect.
