Three Children Drown in Pond at Delhi Golf Course; Probe Underway

Three children, aged between eight and ten years, drowned in a pond located within the premises of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) golf course in Dwarka on the morning of April 30, 2026. Police officials reported the incident, which was first brought to their attention via a PCR call received at approximately 7 am. Following the report, the Station House Officer and other personnel swiftly arrived at the scene.

Recovery Efforts and Initial Findings

Upon reaching the location, police teams discovered the three children submerged in the water. With the assistance of fire department personnel, authorities were able to recover the bodies from the pond. Investigators later noted that the clothing of the children was found lying outside the pond, suggesting that they may have entered the water to bathe prior to the unfortunate incident.

This incident transpired in the pond situated in Sector 24 of Dwarka. Authorities have indicated that efforts are ongoing to identify the children involved and to locate their families. So far, no missing persons report matching the children’s descriptions has been filed in the vicinity, raising concerns about their backgrounds.

In response to the incident, the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Additionally, forensic teams have been deployed to the scene to gather and analyse relevant evidence.
