Gangster Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility for the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), in a recent audio tape that surfaced on social media. The recording, allegedly part of an anti-gang initiative known as Operation Hardball, was shared by Ruchi Wali, a Canada-based journalist and commentator. In the audio, Brar, who is said to be affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, reportedly states his involvement in the murder.

In the purported audio, Brar asserts, “I am not a coward like Lawrence Bishnoi. I own up to my role (of getting Nijjar killed). He (Bishnoi) did convince me to take this step.” The gangster further elaborates on the circumstances surrounding the killing, expressing disdain for Nijjar’s alleged support of drug trafficking among the youth, whom Brar characterises as having been exploited.

Brar reportedly claimed, “People who engaged and encouraged youth aged 16 to 17 years to sell drugs… Nijjar supported those individuals.” He believes that Nijjar’s actions had dire consequences, asserting a moral justification for the murder by stating, “Everyone has to bear the consequences of their action.” Although the claims presented in the audio are significant, the recordings’ authenticity remains unverified.

Prior to the audio leak, a major international law enforcement operation, dubbed “Operation Hardball,” targeted the criminal activities associated with Brar and his connections.
