The Vvaan Box Office Sees Increased Footfall on Day Two

The Vvaan – Force of the Forest, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah, showed improvement at the box office on its second day. The film gained traction throughout the day, especially at night screenings, where it drew the largest audiences. The film’s performance comes amidst competition from Nani’s The Paradise and the continued success of Hanuman Ansh, which is now in its seventh week.

On its second day, The Vvaan collected Rs 11.00 crore nett across 6,887 screenings, bringing its total nett collection in India to Rs 19.00 crore. The overall gross revenue from Indian cinemas reached Rs 22.60 crore. Additionally, the film earned Rs 1.25 crore overseas on the second day, leading to a combined overseas gross of Rs 2.25 crore. Overall, the film’s global gross collection has now reached Rs 24.85 crore.

The overall occupancy rates for The Vvaan across the day reached 38.54 per cent. It opened with 16.54 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, escalating to 38.38 per cent in the afternoon and climbing to 38.92 per cent during evening screenings, culminating in a significant increase to 54.92 per cent for the night shows.

Regional Occupancy Highlights

The National Capital Region emerged as the top market for The Vvaan, hosting 840 shows with an overall occupancy of 41.0 per cent. It began at 16.0 per cent in the morning, increased to 44.0 per cent during the afternoon, and maintained steady figures of 52.0 per cent during both the evening and night screenings. Mumbai followed with 502 shows and recorded an overall occupancy of 38.8 per cent. The city started with 18.0 per cent in the morning, advanced to 37.0 per cent in the afternoon, 44.0 per cent in the evening, and peaked at 56.0 per cent at night.

Ahmedabad reported 332 screenings with an overall occupancy of 27.0 per cent. Morning screenings saw only 10.0 per cent, which rose to 22.0 per cent in the afternoon and 25.0 per cent during the evening, before a significant rise to 51.0 per cent for the night shows. This indicates a clear upward trend in audience attendance later in the day.

Opening Performance and Competition

Meanwhile, Hanuman Ansh remains robust in its theatrical performance, gathering a worldwide gross of Rs 389.85 crore, comprising Rs 352.10 crore from India and Rs 37.75 crore from overseas, with a nett collection of Rs 298.03 crore across 214,285 showings. On the eighth Saturday, September 26, Hanuman Ansh earned Rs 7.75 crore gross, amounting to Rs 6.50 crore nett.

Day 51 for Hanuman Ansh recorded an overall theatre occupancy of 44.04 per cent, beginning with 19 per cent in the morning and escalating to 59.62 per cent during the night shows. This consistent performance underscores the competitive atmosphere in which The Vvaan is operating.
