Tata Power DDL installs Ultra Water Filter Plant at Shahbad Daulatpur government school

New Delhi, India: Access to clean and safe drinking water is a basic human right. Being a responsible and ardent organization, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has installed and inaugurated an Ultra Water Filter Plant at Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Shahbad Daulatpur, New Delhi. The ambition is to provide clean and safe drinking water to 5000 number of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff every day.
The installation of Ultra Water Filter Plants is one of SANJEEVANI’S initiatives under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) umbrella of ‘SAATHI’. It is a step-forward towards improving the living conditions of the economically weaker and enabling them to relish their fundamental rights.
The plant was inaugurated by Mr. Praveen Agrawal, Chief – Human Resource & Industrial Relations (HR & IR), Tata Power-DDL in the presence Smt. Neelam Kumari, Principal, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Shahbad Daulatpur in the presence of other senior officials from Tata Power-DDL, teachers, students and school staff.
Speaking on the inauguration, Mr. Praveen Agrawal, Chief – HR & IR, Tata Power-DDL stressed on the importance of safe potable water and its impact on students and their well-being. He further talked about other CSR initiatives taken up by Tata Power-DDL to further the cause of good quality and accessible education among underprivileged and needy students.
The Ultra Water Filter Plant has a capacity to purify and dispense 500 litres of water per hour and provide clean and safe water to around 5000 students, teachers, and non-teaching staff every day. Till date Tata Power-DDL has installed a total of 97 RO Water Plants/ Ultra Water Filter, spread across its area of operations.
