Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan Complete Vijayadashami Sequence for Film ‘King’

Bollywood’s highly anticipated film ‘King’ recently wrapped up filming a significant action sequence featuring Shah Rukh Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan. The shoot spanned eight nights and took place within the vibrant context of a Vijayadashami celebration, renowned for its cultural significance in India.

Recreation of a Traditional Celebration

A source indicated that the production team aimed to replicate the scale and energy characteristic of a traditional Vijayadashami procession. This involved the use of various elements, including drumming, vibrant colors, and the overall excitement commonly seen on immersion day. Such meticulous planning contributed to an authentic atmosphere for the film’s scenes.

Crowd Participation and Stunts

The sequence featured a large gathering, with hundreds of background performers involved to enhance the authenticity of the setup. Meanwhile, Suhana Khan took part in several stunts, adding physical rigor to her role in the film, marking a pronounced effort in her early acting career.

Since its announcement, ‘King’ has attracted considerable attention. The project’s buzz began in January 2024 when producer Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the title to Shah Rukh Khan, with Khan later confirming in August 2024 that it would be his next film. While the film was initially set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Siddharth Anand, who had previously collaborated with Khan on the successful film ‘Pathaan’, has taken over the direction of ‘King.’

Star-studded Cast and Release Plans

‘King’ boasts a diverse cast that includes well-known actors such as Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Arshad Warsi. For Suhana Khan, the film is particularly significant as it represents her debut on the big screen following her previous role in an OTT series titled ‘The Archies.’ Additionally, Siddharth Anand has confirmed that ‘King’ is planned for theatrical release during the festive season of Christmas 2026.
