A wave of happiness swept through the Konidela household this weekend as actor Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela, welcomed twins — a baby boy and a baby girl. The arrival marks a special milestone for the couple, who are now parents to three children.

The news was shared publicly by Ram Charan’s father, actor Chiranjeevi, who announced the development on social media and expressed gratitude on behalf of the family. His message also confirmed that both the newborns and Upasana are doing well.

Chiranjeevi Announced the Birth

Announcing the birth, Chiranjeevi wrote, “With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins – a baby boy and a baby girl.” He added, “Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well.”

Sharing the family’s emotions, he further wrote, “Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents. We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings and good wishes -Chiranjeevi & Surekha.” Messages of congratulations quickly followed from fans and members of the film industry.

Ram Charan and Upasana, who married in June 2012 after being engaged in December 2011, became parents for the first time in June 2023 with the birth of their daughter, Klin Kaara. The couple has largely chosen to keep her away from public attention.

Upasana Announced Pregnancy During Diwali 2025

The twins’ arrival comes after Upasana announced her second pregnancy during Diwali 2025. She later shared a glimpse from her Seemantham ceremony, posting a video and describing the festive period as one filled with “double the celebration, double the love and double the blessings.”

Upasana, who serves as Vice-Chairperson of Apollo Charity, has remained active in her philanthropic initiatives over the years and is widely admired for her work beyond the film industry.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan is preparing for his next big-screen appearance in Peddi. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu, and is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 27, 2026.
