Actor and entrepreneur Parul Gulati has faced serious allegations from her fellow contestants in the second season of Karan Johar-hosted reality show The Traitors. Krystle Dsouza and Shahneel Gill have publicly accused her of engaging in cheating and bribery during the competition, suggesting that she paid a crew member to leak vital information regarding the game.

Shahneel, who is the sister of cricketer Shubman Gill, made the allegations on social media, claiming that strategic information was being divulged to Parul to manipulate the outcomes of the game. Parul has described these accusations as part of a “digital witch-hunt,” asserting her innocence in the matter.

As the story unfolded, additional support for the allegations emerged from several contestants, including Rida Tharana and social media influencer Prish, in separate videos. They echoed the claims that Parul used supposedly leaked information to facilitate the eviction of fellow contestant Harman Singha, previously labelled as a Traitor on the show.

Details of Shahneel Gill’s Claims

On August 20, Shahneel Gill posted a video on Instagram, in which she referred to the dynamics of the game and suggested that there had been “match-fixing” occurring within The Traitors. She explained that every contestant is assigned a shadow by the production team, who assists them throughout the game.

In her comments, Shahneel insinuated that one contestant had been receiving insider information, which she felt contradicted the ethos of the competition. Without directly naming Parul initially, she alluded to a contestant who seemed to have an uncanny ability to predict the identity of Traitors, claiming it suggested the existence of an unfair advantage.

Shahneel noted her disappointment that the innocent players, including herself and others who dedicated themselves to the game, were at a disadvantage due to alleged deceitful practices. She clarified, however, that she did not believe the responsibility lay with the show’s creators.

Reaction from Krystle Dsouza and Others

Krystle Dsouza, another contestant, also took to social media to voice her frustrations regarding the situation. In her video, she expressed disbelief that the show, known for maintaining integrity, could be threatened by foul play. Krystle pointed out the swift nature of Parul’s accusations against her during the game, highlighting her confusion over the lack of reasoning presented.

She emphasised her concern for the other contestants who applied themselves sincerely to the game. Krystle articulated that the show’s format was intended to uphold secrecy and fairness, adding to her shock over the allegations made against Parul.

Others, like Rida and Prish, also supported the accusations against Parul. Rida called attention to the concept of betrayal within the show, while Prish stated that claims of seeking attention were unfounded, given that the accusers remained active contestants. They urged viewers to reflect critically on the developments within the show.
