Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav commenced a four-day investment outreach programme in Dubai on September 7, 2026. The initiative aims to attract foreign investment and foster economic ties between Madhya Pradesh and global partners. During his visit, Yadav inaugurated an exhibition featuring the state’s One District One Product (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI) products, and engaged in discussions with diplomatic officials and business leaders in the region.

The visit serves as a strategic effort to position Madhya Pradesh as a competitive destination for foreign direct investment and industrial partnerships. The Chief Minister emphasised the diverse investment opportunities available in sectors including mining, manufacturing, services, and hospitality.

Exhibition Highlights Traditional Crafts of Madhya Pradesh

On the inaugural day, Yadav opened the exhibition at Taj Dubai, showcasing six unique products that represent the rich artisan traditions of Madhya Pradesh. Featured items included Betul’s Bell Metal Craft, Ashoknagar’s Chanderi Sarees, Maheshwari Sarees from Khargone, Ujjain’s Batik Craft, Bhopal’s Zari-Zardozi, and Gwalior Carpets. This exhibition aims to connect local artisans with international buyers, thereby enhancing their visibility and market reach.

The Chief Minister expressed that the exhibition serves as a platform to promote both the industrial strengths and cultural wealth of Madhya Pradesh to a global audience. The state government is keen to create new economic opportunities for artisans while expanding the reach of traditional crafts into international markets.

During discussions with Indian diplomats, including Ambassador Deepak Mittal and Consul General E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Yadav outlined the available industrial land, connectivity, logistics infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies that Madhya Pradesh offers. These talks also aimed at garnering support from the Indian diplomatic mission to facilitate connections with UAE’s investment sectors.

Engagement With Arab Leaders and the Indian Diaspora

Yadav held a significant luncheon with Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, where discussions centred on enhancing trade and investment collaboration between Madhya Pradesh and Arab nations. The Chief Minister extended invitations for Arab business representatives to visit Madhya Pradesh and participate in the Global Investors Summit 2027.

As part of his outreach, Yadav engaged with the Indian community in the UAE, underscoring the diaspora’s crucial role in promoting Madhya Pradesh’s global branding and investment initiatives. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by members of the Indian community, facilitating connections between local entrepreneurs and international business opportunities.

The engagements on the first day highlighted a combination of diplomatic discussions, community interaction, and promotional activities aimed at positioning Madhya Pradesh not just as a hub for established industries but also as a viable destination for emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data centres, and semiconductors.

Future Prospects and Investment Objectives

Yadav’s initiative in Dubai marks the first segment of a broader global investment outreach strategy that will culminate at the AIM Congress 2026 from September 7 to 9. The aim is to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s industrial potential, economic vision, and diverse investment opportunities to a wider audience.

With an emphasis on mutual dialogue with investors, Yadav reaffirmed the state’s commitment to facilitating foreign investment in several sectors. The Chief Minister’s strategic engagements during this visit are part of Madhya Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to enhance economic cooperation and attract new investment streams.

The overarching goal of this outreach is to establish long-term partnerships and enhance economic growth in Madhya Pradesh, thus fostering a conducive environment for sustainable development and collaboration with international markets.
