Indian Development Foundation (IDF) STEAM Education Programme
STEAM stands for Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics. Shifting to a STEAM perspective means understanding learning contextually; not only in terms of having a framework that illustrates where the subjects overlap, but also in providing a living and adaptable learning structure for ever-changing personal and global development. STEAM is showing success in schools all around the world to better teach academic and life skills in a standards-backed, reality-based, personally relevant exploratory learning environment.
Indian Development Foundation is raising funds for STEAM BASED ROBOTICS EDUCATION for aided and slum schools.
Key Aspects of ROBOTICS education in schools:
1) Increases creativity
2) Turns frustration into innovation
3) Early introduction to logic building and programming
4) Promotes inclusivity for the girl child
Support the cause by donating and sharing the fundraiser. Here’s how the funds will be utilized. The amount you contribute for each student: INR 1,500
Pilot will be of 5,000 students out of which 50% will be girls. IDF will provide exposure to technology and ROBOTICS education to these children so that they can get the opportunity to be creative, innovative and understand how technology can help to solve practical problems.
Exposure to ROBOTICS education will be provided to a total of 1,000 students across Grade 5 to 8 via a structured programme of 4 months (16 sessions) and they will get exposure to practical knowledge and projects based on Electronics, Mechanical and Robotics Technology.
The curriculum and Robotics Kit partner ROBOKART will provide the required Robotics kits/coaching and students will be taught in a group of 5 to 6 students. The robotics session will be held either on weekdays as part of the school academic schedule or on weekends as per the school’s convenience.
