Season Opening Matches Scheduled

Following this match, the Titans are set to host their first home game on April 4 against the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They will then travel to Delhi for a clash with the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 8, before heading to Lucknow to take on the Lucknow Super Giants on April 12 at Ekana Stadium.

Past Performance and Team Consistency

In the previous IPL season, the Gujarat Titans reached the playoffs but were eliminated by the Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator round. A significant factor contributing to the team’s playoff journey was the exceptional performance of their top-order batsmen. Sai Sudharsan scored 759 runs, Shubman Gill amassed 650 runs, and Jos Buttler contributed with 538 runs, collectively playing a pivotal role in pushing the team to the playoffs. Since their debut in 2022, the Titans have proven to be a consistent force in the IPL, qualifying for the playoffs in three of their first four seasons, and securing the championship in their inaugural year.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for the initial phase of IPL 2026, which will take place from March 28 to April 12, 2026. The tournament will commence with a match between the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
