Marriott International returns with the 9th edition of the flagship charity run – Road to Give 2023, which encourages participants from across its South Asia portfolio of hotels to embrace all forms of movement beyond just running i.e.- walking, cycling and swimming among others. This initiative is also meant to spotlight and support charitable organizations working at uplifting local communities.  The Road To Give 2023, also rides on the launch of Marriott International’s new people brand “BE”, empowering associates to be the best version of themselves.
This annual charity run is an integral part of the Marriott South Asia calendar and is a testament to the company’s commitment to cultivate a people-first environment that promotes the associates’ well-being and drives its people to care for the communities where they do business. This year, Road to Give 2023  has committed to lend support across 156 hotels from Marriott International hotels and resorts in South Asia who will come together to raise funds to support RISING STAR OUTREACH OF INDIA, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and their families to rise above the stigma associated with leprosy and to live healthy, productive lives through quality education, medical care, and community development. This weeklong event will take place from 15th – 29th Oct 2023.
“Road to Give 2023 marks a decisive stride in our mission to uplift local communities through inclusion. This annual run unites Marriott International associates, families, and guests in a collective pursuit of a more diverse and inclusive future. Our aim is to continually expand and strengthen this event, aligning participants with our TakeCare philosophies through innovative additions each year”, said Ranju Alex – Area Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International.
With an aim to incorporate participation from across the country, the run is open to Marriott associates, partners as well as families, friends and guests who can join in to lend support, and dedicate some time to peacefully reflect, care for their bodies and minds and most importantly, be part of a larger, purposeful initiative that aims at helping build a more cohesive and responsible society.
