During the function, national flags were distributed to attendees, adding to the significance and patriotic atmosphere of the celebration. The event coincided with the 80th Independence Day, underlining a commitment to social empowerment.

Canara Bank’s Ahmedabad Circle particularly recognised the academic accomplishments of 942 meritorious SC/ST girl students, awarding ₹37.68 lakh in scholarships. This financial support was directly credited to the accounts of eligible students, with the scheme encompassing the bank’s 157 branches across rural, semi-urban, and urban areas in the region.

This initiative aims to alleviate financial pressures faced by families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, thereby helping students to continue their education uninterrupted.
