Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announces Parks and Water ATMS funded by CSR in Kalkaji

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a wall art in Kalkaji area on Sunday and announced a series of development initiatives which will be funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). These include two parks and the three water ATM plants which will benefit slum residents in the area.

“The government is committed to ensuring that every part of the capital is well-organised and developed,” the CM said. The projects aim to enhance urban infrastructure and improve living conditions in the area.

CSR of Petronet LNG Ltd and Indian Oil

Talking about the projects, CM Rekha Gupta said that the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to make Delhi cleaner, beautiful, and well-developed. The two parks in Kalkaji would be developed with a budget of Rs 1 crore as part of Petronet LNG Limited’s CSR and the three water ATM plants, which will be installed in the slum areas of Kalkaji at a similar cost, will be funded by Indian Oil Corporation Limited through CSR.

CSR of BPCL

The wall art inaugurated by the Chief Minister has been developed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as part of its CSR at a cost of Rs 1 crore. The CM said that the wall art will not only beautify the area but also promote cleanliness and also serve as a medium for conveying social and cultural messages.

“Delhi’s beauty is in the hands of the people of Delhi. We often do wall writing, paste posters, etc., but it’s our responsibility to also preserve them. We all can make a strong effort towards it,” Gupta said. She thanked Bharat Petroleum for providing CSR funds that contributed to development initiatives in the area.

CSR of Indraprastha Gas Limited

Apart from these, 150 solar lights will also be installed in the area from the same fund. These lights are being installed in collaboration with Indraprastha Gas Limited, at a cost of Rs 30 lakh to enhance security and promote energy conservation in the area, the chief minister informed.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of citizen participation in maintaining public spaces, fostering sustainable initiatives, and aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a better India.

South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Kalkaji Councilor Yogita Singh, Councillor Chandra Prakash, and District President Rajkumar Chautala were present among others.

Viral Girl Monalisa को फिल्म का ऑफर देने वाले डायरेक्टर सनोज मिश्रा को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। रेप के मामले में गिरफ्तारी हुई है। दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट से बेल खारिज होने के बाद दिल्ली के नबी करीम थाना पुलिस ने उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोप है कि सनोज मिश्रा ने एक छोटे कस्बे से आने वाली, हीरोइन बनने की तमन्ना रखने वाली एक लड़की के साथ कई बार रेप किया।

नशीला पदार्थ खिलाकर रेप का आरोप

पीड़िता के मुताबिक, साल 2020 में टिक टॉक और इंस्टाग्राम के जरिए उसकी मुलाकात सनोज मिश्रा से हुई थी। उस समय वह झांसी में रहती थी। कुछ समय तक दोनों के बीच बातचीत होती रही और फिर डायरेक्टर ने 17 जून 2021 को उसे फोन कर बताया कि वो झांसी रेलवे स्टेशन पहुंच चुका है। जब पीड़िता ने सामाजिक दबाव का हवाला देते हुए मिलने से इनकार कर दिया, तो आरोपी सनोज मिश्रा (Film Director Sanoj Mishra News) ने आत्महत्या की धमकी दी। इसके बाद डर के मारे पीड़िता उससे मिलने चली गई। अगले दिन 18 जून 2021 को आरोपी ने फिर फोन किया और आत्महत्या की धमकी देकर उसे रेलवे स्टेशन बुलाया।

फिल्मों में काम दिलाने का लालच देकर किया शोषण

आरोप है कि वहां से आरोपी उसे एक रिसॉर्ट में ले गया और नशीला पदार्थ खिलाकर उसके साथ रेप किया। पीड़िता ने FIR में बताया कि आरोपी ने उसकी आपत्तिजनक तस्वीरें और वीडियो बना लिए और धमकी दी कि अगर उसने विरोध किया, तो वो इन्हें सार्वजनिक कर देगा। इसके बाद उसने शादी का झांसा देकर कई बार अलग-अलग जगहों पर बुलाकर शारीरिक संबंध बनाए। साथ ही, उसे फिल्मों में काम दिलाने का लालच भी दिया।

बता दें कि इससे पहले खबर आ रही थी कि महाकुंभ में मनके बेचते हुए सोशल मीडिया की क्वीन बनी मोनालिसा को लेकर फिल्म बनने जा रही है। फिल्म डायरेक्टर सनोज मिश्रा ने मोनालिसा को अपनी अगली फिल्म द डायरी ऑफ 2025 में लेने का ऐलान किया था। खबर ये भी थी कि सनोज मिश्रा मोनालिसा को एक्टिंग की ट्रेनिंग भी दे रहे हैं और कुछ जगहों पर मोनालिसा को साथ लेकर भी जा रहे हैं।

च्युइंग गम चबाने से शरीर में बढ़ता Microplastic, बढ़ता कैंसर का खतरा

Microplastic: वैज्ञानिकों की टीम ने चेताया है कि जो लोग अक्सर Chewing Gum चबाते रहते हैं उन्हें सावधान हो जाना चाहिए। अध्ययन में पाया गया है कि Chewing Gum चबाने से शरीर में सैकड़ों Microplastic रिलीज होते हैं जो समय के साथ बढ़ते जाते हैं। इससे Cronic बीमारियों का खतरा बढ़ सकता है। दुनियाभर में बढ़ती Cronic बीमारियों के लिए लाइफस्टाइल और खान-पान में गड़बड़ी को प्रमुख कारण बताया जाता रहा है। कई पर्यावरणीय स्थितियां भी हैं जो समय के साथ बीमारियों के खतरे को बढ़ा रही हैं। कई अध्ययन लगातार अलर्ट करते रहे हैं कि इंसानी शरीर में Microplastic की मात्रा बढ़ती जा रही है, जिसपर अगर समय रहते ध्यान न दिया गया तो ये आने वाले दशकों में इंसान के स्वास्थ्य को बुरी तरह प्रभावित कर सकती है।

Chewing Gum चबाने की आदत बढ़ा न दे मुश्किल

23-27 मार्च को आयोजित American Chemical Society (ACS) की एक बैठक में इस अध्ययन की रिपोर्ट पर चर्चा की गई, जिसमें शोधकर्ताओं ने Chewing Gum चबाने की आदत को सेहत के लिए बेहद समस्याकारक बताया है। अध्ययन में पाया गया कि केवल एक ग्राम च्युइंग गम से औसतन 100 Microplastics रिलीज हो सकते हैं, वहीं कुछ से 600 से अधिक सूक्ष्म प्लास्टिक भी निकलते पाए गए हैं। एक व्यक्ति जो साल में लगभग 180 Chewing Gum चबाता है, वह 30,000 Microplastics निगल सकता है। पांच ब्रांड के सिंथेटिक और पांच प्राकृतिक गम के परीक्षण में पाया गया है कि इन दोनों में Microplastics की मौजूदगी थी।

रोजमर्रा की चीजों में Microplastics

यह अध्ययन ऐसे समय में किया गया है जब शोधकर्ता शरीर में Microplastics की बढ़ती मात्रा को लेकर पहले से बहुत चिंतित हैं। रसोईघरों में इस्तेमाल होने वाले सामनों से लेकर Plastic की बोतल तक, सभी के माध्यम से शरीर में इस खतरे को बढ़ते हुए देखा जा रहा है। यहां तक कि हम जिस हवा में सांस लेते हैं उसमें भी Microplastic की मौजूदगी देखी गई है। इससे पहले के अध्ययन में हमारे Lungs, रक्त और मस्तिष्क के अंदर भी Microplastic की मौजूदगी को लेकर अलर्ट किया गया था जिससे स्वास्थ्य पर गंभीर असर होने का खतरा हो सकता है।सुपरमार्केट में बिकने वाली सबसे आम Chewing Gum को Synthetic गम कहा जाता है, जिसमें चबाने लायक प्रभाव लाने के लिए पेट्रोलियम आधारित Polymer मिलाए जाते हैं। हालांकि पैकेजिंग में Ingredients की लिस्ट में किसी भी तरह के प्लास्टिक की सूची नहीं दी जाती है। Britain के Portsmouth University के शोधकर्ता David Jones ने कहा कि वे इस बात से आश्चर्यचकित हैं कि अध्ययनों में कुछ ऐसे Plastic भी मिले हैं जिनके बारे में ज्ञात ही नहीं था कि वे इन गम्स में हो सकते हैं।

मस्तिष्क में बढ़ता Microplastic चिंता का कारण

शोधकर्ताओं ने बताया कि प्लेसेंटा, रक्त, ब्रेस्ट मिल्क, लिवर-किडनी के साथ इंसानों के मस्तिष्क में भी Microplastic की मात्रा बढ़ती हुई देखी गई है। Brain में माइक्रोप्लास्टिक के कारण मस्तिष्क की मूल संरचना में बदलाव हो रहा है, जिसके चलते Dementia के अलावा Stroke और Heart Attack से मौत का जोखिम 4.5 गुना तक बढ़ सकता है। विशेषज्ञों ने चिंता जताई है कि ब्रेन में Microplastic की उपस्थिति Blood-Brain Barrier को प्रभावित कर सकती है जिसके दुष्परिणाम काफी चिंताजनक हो सकते हैं। Blood Brain Barrier रक्त और मस्तिष्क के बीच एक झिल्ली नुमा अवरोधक पट्टी होती है, जो मस्तिष्क की रक्त वाहिकाओं को नुकसान पहुंचने से बचाती है। वैज्ञानिकों ने अलर्ट किया है कि Liver और Kidney की तुलना में मस्तिष्क में कहीं अधिक मात्रा में प्लास्टिक के अति सूक्ष्म कण जमा हो रहे हैं, और भविष्य में इसके गंभीर जोखिम हो सकते हैं। इसी तरह एक अध्ययन में मां के दूध में भी Microplastic पाया गया था। स्तन के दूध में माइक्रोप्लास्टिक मिलने के पहले एक अन्य अध्ययन में शोधकर्ताओं की टीम ने मानव रक्त में भी Microplastic पाए जाने को लेकर अलर्ट किया था।

Plastic का इस्तेमाल कितना खतरनाक

स्वास्थ्य विशेषज्ञ लगातार प्लास्टिक के Containers से खाना खाने और प्लास्टिक की बोतलों से पानी पीने से बचने की चेतावनी देते रहे हैं। प्लास्टिक की चीजों के बढ़ते इस्तेमाल के कारण न सिर्फ शरीर में Microplastic की मात्रा बढ़ती जा रही है, साथ ही स्वास्थ्य विशेषज्ञों के लिए बिस्फेनॉल ए (BPA) नामक रसायन भी चिंता का कारण बना हुआ है।

नमक और चीनी चाहे पैक्ड हों या अनपैक्ड, लगभग सभी में Microplastics पाए गए हैं। गौरतलब है कि माइक्रोप्लास्टिक्स को कैंसर के प्रमुख कारकों में से एक माना जाता है।

Kerala Commission Report Suggests 80% of the State’s Population will be Urban by 2050

According to the Kerala Urban Policy Commission (KUPC) report released on Sunday, 80% of the state’s population will be urban by 2050. The KUPC is the first of its kind panel in the country and is headed by Dr M Satish Kumar. The report was submitted to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in the presence of Minister for local self-government and Excise, MB Rajesh, who said that, “Kerala is the only state with an urban policy. This is an important milestone in the development. History of Kerala…will provide insights for formulating development strategies for the state for the coming 25 years, especially in the context of rapid urbanisation along with climate change.”

Commission’s Recommendations

Other recommendations of the commission were that Kerala should develop a risk-informed master plan at the local level to integrate climate resilience into urban planning. Secondly, all special plans should be aligned with this framework to ensure cohesive and risk-sensitive development, particularly in ecologically sensitive and hazard-prone areas. This will enhance the state’s long-term resilience.

The panel also suggested introducing a targeted green fee on urban development projects that will fund disaster risk reduction initiatives like resilient infrastructure and emergency response systems. The commission also called for expanding disaster-specific insurance schemes to protect vulnerable communities of the state.

In state-specific recommendations, the panel suggested that Thrissur and Kochi should be developed as FinTech hubs, while Palakkad and Kasaragod should be built into industrial Smart cities. Thiruvananthapuram-Kollam can become knowledge corridors for research and innovation inside the state and Kannur can become the fashion capital of the state. The city of Kozhikode can develop as the city of literature because of its rich literary heritage.

Three Women in Top Positions in PUSU Make History

For the first time, three Women won top positions in the newly formed student council of Patna University. In the results declared on Saturday, ABVP’s Maithily Mrinalini got elected as the Patna University Student Union (PUSU) president, while an independent candidate, Saloni Raj, was elected as the general secretary. Raj’s victory also marks the first time in PUSU history that an independent woman candidate has been elected to the general secretary post. National Student Union of India’s (NSUI) Soumya Srivastava became the treasurer.

“It is really a great honour… Also, history has been made with women. Women winning three top positions for the first time,” said Maithily, who has become the first woman president of Patna University. She defeated NSUI candidate Manoranjan Raja by 603 votes.

Promises to Voters

The new woman president listed ‘five Ps’ as her top priorities after coming to power: Pravesh (entrance test), Pariksha (examination), Pathyakram (syllabus), Parisar (campus), and Parinam (result). These five Ps will ensure quality education inside Patna University, according to the woman president. During her campaigning, Maithily also demanded a functioning sanitary napkin vending machine to be set up on campus. Other promises to voters include ensuring enough hostels for students and placement in coordination with the administration.

Maithili hails from Munger and is a third-year BA political science student at Patna Women’s College. She has completed her early education in good schools in Patna and Rajasthan.

Malayalam Actor Apologises After Film’s Theme Hurt Hindutva Leaders

Malayalam actor Mohanlal expresses “sincere regret for mental distress caused to many I hold dear”. The apology comes because of the various social and political themes of his latest movie, Empuraan, which hit screens worldwide last Thursday. The movie has supposedly upset several Hindutva organisations and leaders, who accused it of disregarding Hindutva and trying to please “anti-national elements”, in reference to the 2002 Gujarat riots and other such events.

“…Empuraan, which is the second part of Lucifer, have pained a large number of people who love me. As an artiste, it is my responsibility to make sure that my film does not have any hostility towards any political movement, ideology or religious sect. Hence, I and the team of Empuraan sincerely regret the mental distress caused to those I hold dear, with the realisation that the responsibility for it lies with all of us who worked behind the Film. We have decided together to remove such themes from the film,” said the Malayalam actor in a Facebook post after the filmmakers decided to make a “voluntary modification” to the film.

Kerala CM Responds

The movie has also caused a political storm in the state of Kerala. Kerala chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, said that he has seen the movie and accused the Sang Parivar of threatening the filmmaker into making changes in the film. In a Facebook post, Kerala CM said, “It has come out that the filmmakers were forced to edit the film under pressure. This atmosphere of fear created by the Sangh Parivar is worrying. It is not salubrious for democracy that communalists can destroy a work of art and maliciously attack it. Artists on the ground have taken a stand against communalism and depicted its horror. In a democratic society, the freedom of expression of citizens must be protected.”

Extending support to the filmmaker, the Congress MLA and opposition leader V D Saatheesan said, “For the Sangh Parivar, freedom of expression means the freedom for works which have been created in their favour”

The incident drew public attention after Kunal Kara was asked to apologise for his Mumbai show mocking the current chief minister of Maharashtra.

Delhi to Get its Own Yamuna Riverbed Near Sarai kale Khan

As the Delhi government is pushing for a clean Yamuna, the Delhi-wallas will get their long-awaited Yamuna riverfront near Sarai Kale Khan. Riverfront will be developed at the site of the Millennium Park Bus Depot and will include a central piazza, a topiary park, a local shopping centre (somewhat like the one present inside Sundar Nursery) and two parking areas. River Promenade will cover an area of 25 hectares along the riverside.

There will not be any concrete or permanent structure on the waterfront, like in the case of the Sabarmati waterfront of Ahmedabad. The River Yamuna and its flood plains are part of the O zone, where any permanent construction and concretisation are not allowed as per government orders.

DDA Project

This project is part of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plan to develop the 22 km Yamuna river stretch between Wazirabad barrage and Okhla barrage.

The rejuvenation plan is divided into 11 subsections, five of which have already been developed, including the Vasudeva Ghat. Recently, the new BJP cabinet of Delhi visited the Vasudeva Ghat after taking oath in February. Other sections of the restoration plan include parks in Asita East and West Banks, Amrut Biodiversity Park behind the Commonwealth Games village and the Yamuna Vatika near Raj Ghat.

Waqf Amendment Bill Protest: देश में धूमधाम से ईद-उल-फितर (ईद मुबारक) मनाया जा रहा है। रविवार को दिल्ली में ईद-उल-फितर का चांद दिखाई देने के बाद सोमवार यानी 31 मार्च 2024 को पूरे देश में यह पर्व धूमधाम से मनाया जा रहा है। देश के प्रमुख शहरों में मुसलमान अपने-अपने इलाकों की मस्जिदों और ईदगाहों में एकत्र हो रहे हैं और ईद (Eid Mubarak) की विशेष नमाज अदा की गई। हालांकि देश के कई हिस्सों में वक्फ बोर्ड संशोधन विधेयक (Waqf Amendment Bill Protest) के विरोध में नमाजियों ने काली पट्टियां बांधीं। ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड ने इस विरोध का आह्वान किया था। रमजान की आखिरी नमाज़ में भी इसी तरह का विरोध देखा गया था।

Waqf Amendment Bill का कर रहे है विरोध

दिल्ली, लखनऊ, भोपाल समेत देश के कई शहरों में लोग हाथों में काली पट्टी बांधकर ईद की नमाज पढ़ने पहुंचे। ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड ने वक्फ बोर्ड संशोधन बिल के सांकेतिक विरोध के लिए नमाज के दौरान हाथों में काली पट्टी बांधने का आवाहन किया था। यही कारण है कि बच्चों से लेकर बूढ़े तक काली पट्टी पहनकर नमाज अदा करने पहुंचे। वक्फ बिल को लेकर देशभर में कई जगहों पर विरोध देखने को मिल रहा है। तमाम इस्लामिक संगठन इस बिल का विरोध करते नजर आ रहे हैं। इस नमाज में बड़ी संख्या में बच्चे भी शामिल थे। इनके हाथों में काली पट्टी और प्रोटेक्ट फिलिस्तीन के बैनर-पोस्टर भी थे। बोर्ड का कहना है कि अगर यह बिल पारित हो गया तो मस्जिद, दरगाह, मदरसे, कब्रिस्तान और कई अन्य संस्थान उनके हाथ से चले जाएंगे।

Waqf Amendment Bill: वक्फ संशोधन विधेयक क्या है?

नए बिल के अनुसार जमीन पर दावा करने वाला ट्रिब्यूनल के अलावा रेवेन्यू कोर्ट, सिविल कोर्ट या हाई कोर्ट में अपील कर सकेगा। अब वक्फ ट्रिब्यूनल के फैसले के खिलाफ हाईकोर्ट में अपील की जा सकेगी। जब तक किसी ने वक्फ को दान में जमीन नहीं दी हो, उस पर भले ही मस्जिद बनी हो पर वह वक्फ की संपत्ति नहीं होगी। वक्फ बोर्ड में 2 महिलाओं और अन्य धर्म के 2 सदस्यों को एंट्री मिलेगी। इन्हीं सब बदलावों का विरोध किया जा रहा है।

Nainital: झीलों के शहर नैनीताल में सूख रही प्रसिद्ध Naini झील

Nainital: गर्मी शुरू होने से पहले ही उत्तराखंड के प्रसिद्ध पर्यटन स्थल Nainital की Naini झील का जलस्तर पिछले 5 साल के सबसे निचले स्तर 4.7 फीट तक पहुंच गया है। विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, इसी तरह जलस्तर गिरता रहा तो मई-जून से पहले ही Naini झील सूख सकती है। बकौल रिपोर्ट्स, नैनीताल में अक्टूबर-2024 से अबतक बारिश-बर्फबारी औसत से 90% कम हुई है। उत्तराखंड के Nainital को झीलों का शहर कहा जाता है, जिसकी झीलों के किनारे सुकून के दो पाल बिताने देश-विदेश से पर्यटक बड़ी तादाद में पहुंचते हैं। लेकिन झीलों की रानी Naini झील पर अब संकट के बादल मंडरा रहे हैं। नैनीताल समेत पहाड़ों में लंबे समय से बारिश नहीं होने से विश्व प्रसिद्ध Naini झील और नदियों का जलस्तर तेजी से घट रहा है। नैनी झील का जलस्तर कम होने से झील की सुंदरता पर ग्रहण लग रहा है। झील के चारों तरफ बड़े-बड़े Delta उभरने लगे हैं।

कम वर्षा और Global Warming की मारी Naini झील

दरअसल बीते अक्टूबर माह से अब तक Nainital में बारिश और बर्फबारी औसत की अपेक्षा 90 प्रतिशत से कम हुई है, जिसके चलते नैनीताल समेत आसपास के क्षेत्रों में सूखे जैसे हालात बनने लगे हैं। कम बारिश का नैनीताल पर इतना गहरा असर पड़ा है कि विश्वप्रसिद्ध Naini झील का जलस्तर बीते 5 साल में सबसे कम स्तर पर जा पहुंचा है। साल 2020 में Naini झील का जलस्तर 6 feet 10 inch था। 2021 में यह स्तर घटकर 4 feet 4 inch पर आ गया था। साल 2022 में अच्छी बरसात के चलते इसमें कुछ सुधार हुआ और यह 7 feet 9 inch तक बढ़ गया। लेकिन उसके बाद के वर्षों में कम होती वर्षा के चलते Naini झील का जलस्तर साल 2023-24-25 में घटकर क्रमश: 4.8,4.9 और 4.7 हो गया। अगर यही हालात रहे तो आने वाले दिनों में Nainital में स्थानीय लोगों के सामने पेयजल संकट खड़ा हो जाएगा। इतना ही नहीं, मई जून में गर्मियों के दौरान पर्यटन सीजन में पर्यटकों को भी पेयजल की किल्लत से जूझना पड़ सकता है। वर्तमान में Naini झील का जल स्तर 4.9 फिट है। झील के जलस्तर को संतुलित बनाए रखने के लिए जल संरक्षण विभाग के द्वारा Nainital के जल संस्थान में Roasting System लागू किया गया है। विभाग द्वारा केवल 12 MLD पानी की ही सप्लाई की जा रही है, ताकि Naini झील के गिरते जलस्तर पर नियंत्रण रखा जा सके।

Naini झील के Catchment Area में लगातार हो रहे अतिक्रमण और सूखते प्राकृतिक जल स्रोतों का बेहतर रखरखाव ना होने के चलते प्राकृतिक जल स्रोत सूखने लगे हैं। शहर की ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में स्थित जल स्रोतों और Catchment झील से पानी साल भर रिस कर Naini झील में आता था। दूसरी तरफ Nainital की आबादी और यहां आने वाले पर्यटकों को पीने के पानी की आपूर्ति झील के पानी से होती है, जिस वजह से झील पर दबाव रहता है, जो झील के जलस्तर में गिरावट का कारण है। इस बार बारिश और बर्फबारी बहुत कम हुई है, जिसके चलते झील का जलस्तर मार्च माह में ही 4 फीट तक जा पहुंचा है जो आने वाले समय के लिए एक चिंता का कारण बन सकता है। सरोवर नगरी Nainital में Naini झील का जलस्तर तेजी से घट रहा है, जिसको लेकर पर्वावरणविद भी चिंतित हैं। इस समस्या की वजह मौसम की बेरुखी व कम बारिश और बर्फबारी मानी जा रही है, जिस कारण Nainital के प्राकृतिक जल स्रोत रिचार्ज नहीं हो रहे हैं, जिसका साफ असर Naini झील पर देखने को मिल रहा है। बारिश का नैनीताल पर इतना गहरा असर पड़ा है कि झील का जलस्तर बीते 5 साल में सबसे कम स्तर पर जा पहुंच गया है। अगर यही हालात रहे तो आने वाले दिनों में नैनीताल में स्थानीय लोगों के सामने पेयजल संकट खड़ा हो जाएगा। इतना ही नहीं मई-जून में गर्मियों के दौरान पर्यटन सीजन में पर्यटकों को भी पेयजल की कमी से जूझना पड़ सकता है। Naini झील का रखरखाव करने वाले सिंचाई विभाग के अधिकारियों की मानें, तो नैनीताल झील में पिछले चार सालों में मार्च माह में सबसे कम है।

झील की स्थिति को सुधारने के लिए जल संचयन, वर्षा जल संचयन और झील के आसपास के क्षेत्र में वृक्षारोपण जैसे उपायों पर ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। इसके अलावा, झील के प्रबंधन में सुधार और जल संसाधनों के दुरुपयोग को रोकने के लिए एक व्यापक योजना बनाने की आवश्यकता है। सबसे बड़ी बात, जो केवल Naini झील ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरे विश्व को सोचने की ज़रूरत है, Global Warming की Warning को समझना! प्रकृति बार-बार, हर तरीक़े से चेतावनी दे रही है, कि बस, अब तो संभल जाओ, अब तो जागो, वरना धरती पर जीवन का नामोनिशान मिट जाएगा। लेकिन हम हर चेतावनी को हल्के में ले रहे हैं।

The Delhi Capitals (DC) secured seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their IPL 2025 encounter on Sunday, March 30, in Visakhapatnam.
