Actor Rajshri Deshpande Opens Up About Grade 1 Breast Cancer Battle

Actor Rajshri Deshpande has announced that she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. The star of the acclaimed series Sacred Games disclosed her health status through an emotional message on social media, revealing that her diagnosis is “infiltrating ductal carcinoma (NOS), grade 1 breast cancer.” In her post, Deshpande shared that she has found the courage to inform her family about her condition before going public.

She mentioned that the cancer was discovered during a routine medical examination, which she believes has provided her with a significant opportunity to fight the disease. Deshpande described the subsequent weeks as a “rollercoaster ride” filled with numerous tests and a surgical procedure.

Gratitude for Support During Recovery

Expressing her gratitude, Deshpande acknowledged the emotional support from her family and friends, stating that reuniting with her parents post-surgery brought her strength and alleviated her fears. She also thanked her medical team, particularly Dr. Mandar Nadkarni and the staff at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, for their professionalism and care during her treatment. Deshpande noted that she is recuperating well and expects to be discharged from the hospital shortly.

In a subsequent update, Deshpande reflected on the promising start to 2026, highlighting her dedication to opening two new schools in rural areas and her ongoing film projects.
