A 90-year-old man in Bhopal tragically lost his life due to severe burns inflicted by an electric therapy machine. The incident occurred on May 27 while the man, identified as Gladwin, was using the device to alleviate his persistent back pain. The therapy machine unexpectedly caught fire, leading to catastrophic consequences.

Gladwin had been experiencing chronic back issues for a considerable time and had purchased the electric therapy machine on the recommendation of his doctor. The device was intended to provide him relief from his discomfort during regular usage. However, during one of these sessions, a short circuit led to the machine igniting.

The flames quickly engulfed Gladwin, causing extensive burn injuries over his body. Family members, alerted by his cries, hurried to his aid and managed to extinguish the fire. They immediately transported him to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.

Upon arrival at the hospital, medical personnel treated Gladwin for his critical injuries. Despite their best efforts, the extent of the burns proved to be fatal. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted, highlighting the urgency and severity of the situation.
