29-Year-Old Man Linked to Gogi Gang Shot Dead in Rohini, Delhi

The CSR Journal Magazine

A 29-year-old individual identified as Sahil, who had links to the Gogi gang, was fatally shot in the Rohini area of Delhi. This incident is believed to be part of an ongoing violent feud with the Tillu Tajpuria gang. The recent murder highlights an alarming escalation in a long-standing conflict that has reportedly claimed over 50 lives over the years.

Background of the Gang Conflict

The roots of this particular conflict can be traced back to an event in October 2021. Following the murder of Jitender Mann Gogi in court, a local resident named Radhe celebrated the killing in a video posted on social media. The footage depicted Radhe cutting a cake to mark the occasion, which incensed Sahil and other members of the Gogi gang. In retaliation, Sahil, along with associates Kapil Mann, Naveen Sharma, and Rohit Rana, was involved in the murder of Radhe shortly thereafter. Sahil was apprehended six days post the incident, leading to more than three years of incarceration.

Release from Custody and Subsequent Attack

Sahil was recently released from prison, only to face immediate hostility from the Tajpuria gang. Sources revealed that while he was walking in Sector 17 of Rohini, he was targeted by unidentified gunmen who arrived on motorcycles. The assailants reportedly fired 12 rounds at Sahil, aiming at his face and chest before fleeing the scene. The police were informed shortly after the shooting and arrived to transport Sahil to a nearby hospital; however, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Investigation and Local Response

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the ongoing gang rivalry. Local law enforcement is working to gather more details, including potential witnesses and any surveillance footage that might shed light on the assailants’ identities. The community remains on alert as tensions run high, given the history of violence between the rival gangs.
