Piramal Pharma Releases 2025-26 Sustainability Report Achievements

Piramal Pharma Limited has released its Sustainability Report for 2025-26, highlighting advancements in its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. The report underscores the integration of sustainability into the company’s operations and innovation agenda while striving for long-term value creation for various stakeholders.

Key achievements outlined in the report include:

– A 22.6% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to the fiscal year 2022 baseline.

– Renewable energy usage increased to 41% of total energy consumption across the company’s operations.

– The recycling and reuse of 263,000 kilolitres of freshwater and the diversion of 65% of total waste for recycling.

– Continued alignment with the company’s Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) approved decarbonisation roadmap.

In terms of quality and operational excellence, Piramal Pharma reported:

– Successful completion of 38 regulatory inspections, including three by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with no Official Action Indicated observations.

– Completion of 209 customer audits, reinforcing quality and compliance across its global manufacturing network.

– Progress in digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of Catalyst NxGen and SAP S/4HANA, as well as the expansion of digital quality systems.

– A US$90 million investment announced for enhancing advanced therapeutics capabilities at its Lexington and Riverview facilities.

From a governance perspective, the company maintained a record of zero data breaches and corruption cases during the reporting period. It achieved 100% completion of ESG training for employees and Code of Conduct training, with women representing 30% of the Board and 20.1% of the global workforce. Furthermore, 38% of critical suppliers were assessed against sustainability criteria as part of the responsible supply chain program.

In community engagement, Piramal Pharma invested ₹8.98 crore in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives during FY2025-26, positively impacting nearly 1.8 million individuals across 112 Aspirational Districts through healthcare and education programs.

The Sustainability Report elaborates on Piramal Pharma’s long-term sustainability framework, which is organized around four strategic pillars: Business Resilience, Quality & Excellence, Responsible Operations, and Stakeholder Centricity. This framework is supported by over 50 time-bound sustainability targets across 17 material topics and is overseen by the company’s Sustainability and Risk Management Committee.

The report adheres to GRI standards and aligns with the SASB and UNGC frameworks, reflecting Piramal Pharma’s dedication to sustainable growth and responsible stakeholder engagement.
