A deeply disturbing case has come to light from Mumbai’s Malvani locality. Here, a 30-year-old woman and her 19-year-old boyfriend have been arrested. The arrest follows for the alleged rape and murder of the woman’s two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. According to reports the crime occurred on Sunday night. The Police arrested the duo after the hospital authorities alerted them about the incident.

According to reports, the girl screamed in pain and eventually lost consciousness. The mother and the teenager then took her to a government hospital. “To cover up, the woman told doctors that her daughter had an epileptic attack,” said police.

Medical Staff Alert Authorities After Suspicious Injuries

The two-year-old was brought to a government hospital with severe injuries to her private parts. The child had multiple injuries on her body and was unconscious on arrival. She was declared dead shortly after being brought to the hospital. However, upon examining the injuries, doctors suspected sexual assault with the child and immediately informed the police.

Further investigation into the matter revealed that the teenage accused had a sexual relationship with the child’s mother. The teenager had allegedly assaulted the child with her mother’s knowledge and consent. The woman was also reportedly present during the incident and did not intervene, allowing the teen rape the minor child.

Police Reveal Shocking Confession

Furthermore, the Police officers questioned both the involved individuals. Both the mother and her boyfriend admitted to their roles in the gruesome assault and murder of the child. Officers said the teenager had expressed a desire to abuse the child and was granted permission by the mother. The assault led to the child screaming in pain, losing consciousness, and eventually dying.

“The girl had injuries on her private parts, and her internal organs were damaged. We immediately nabbed the woman and her boyfriend and placed them under arrest,” an officer from the local police said.

“The 19-year-old accused had sex with the 30-year-old woman and then raped the child in her presence. The woman, however, told doctors the child was suffering from epilepsy,” the Malwani police station official said.

Evidence Seized, FIR registered

A forensic team visited the scene of the crime and collected crucial evidence. The clothing of the victim and both accused have been taken for examination. Authorities have stated that all necessary forensic protocols are being followed to support the case.

In addition a case has been registered under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) The sections include 70, 64, 65(2), 66, 103, 238, and 3(5), and under Sections 6, 10, and 21 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused were scheduled to be produced in court on Monday.

Police investigations also revealed that the woman had been living at her mother’s residence with her daughter since her divorce three years ago. She reportedly met the teenager during her stay and the two entered into a romantic relationship. The accused teen is currently unemployed.
