Kuwait Intercepts 14 Missiles, 12 Drones in Attacks; 10 Personnel Injured

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence has reported that, in the last 24 hours, the country’s air defence systems successfully intercepted 14 ballistic missiles and 12 drones categorized as hostile. This information was shared during a media briefing held on Sunday, where Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, the Ministry’s spokesperson, elaborated on the incidents. Some of the intercepted missiles and drones targeted a military base used by the Kuwaiti armed forces. The attacks resulted in injuries to 10 military personnel and caused material damage to the installation.

Targeted Locations and Casualties

Colonel Al-Atwan also indicated that private logistics facilities were hit during the aggressive actions, although these attacks did not result in any casualties but did incur substantial material damages. The frequency and intensity of these aerial threats have raised concerns within the nation, emphasizing the challenges Kuwait faces due to ongoing aggression in the region.

Since the onset of these attacks that began on February 28, Kuwait’s defense forces have reported a total of 307 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 616 drones launched toward the country.
