Magniflex India (Made in Italy), Europe’s no. 1 mattress brand organised ‘Gifts that Matter’, an annual Christmas Collection Drive, across its franchise outlets in India. The initiative is aimed at bringing genuine joy to underprivileged children in our community during the holiday season. Red Christmas bags were placed across all Magniflex India’s franchise stores encouraging customers to donate toys and stationery items like books, pens, and colouring books to less fortunate children. The response was overwhelming, with the brand’s loyal customers generously contributing towards the cause. The collected toys were distributed today to the children at Angels Orphanage in Bengaluru. Godrej Vikhroli Cucina Initiative adds a sparkle of joy amongst children

Godrej Vikhroli Cucina, an owned media platform established by Godrej Industries dedicated to the food and culinary realm, recently launched its heartwarming initiative, “One Wish At A Time”, at the International Food and Beverage Awards 2023. This initiative set out to celebrate the “Joy of Giving” month by featuring a Christmas wishing tree. Three wishes were incorporated into Christmas ornaments for everyone to pick up and hang on the wishing tree installation. Every wish made for the children was fulfilled by Godrej Vikhroli Cucina along with partner brands Godrej Yummiez and Godrej Jersey. The wishing tree was then moved to Godrej One, Vikhroli, where employees, residents, and visiting public alike picked up wishes. To amplify the impact, a digital wishing tab was set up on the Vikhroli Cucina blog, allowing people across the country to participate. The response was overwhelming, with close to 1000 wishes collected both online and offline.
Going beyond numerical milestones and simply delivering gifts to the children, Godrej Vikhroli Cucina further extended its impact, collaborating with Godrej Good and Green and Teach for India to host joyful celebrations for nearly 200 children across Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Christmas gift in the form of a free Covid vaccination camp at Dharavi by Clean Up Foundation

Continuing its drive towards improving the health, hygiene and well-being of rag-pickers and solid waste workers of Mumbai, Clean-Up Foundation conducted a free vaccination camp in association with MCGM at Dharavi today. Over 2000 solid waste workers and rag-pickers are being vaccinated at this camp. With the Christmas spirit around, Sanjana and her team of Clean Up Foundation spread much cheer by distributing free ration packets as well to all those getting vaccinated at the camp. This was also done to ensure maximum participation by the garbage workers. With Covid cases on the rise again and the surge in Omicron numbers, vaccination has become extremely crucial. This camp assumed tremendous importance as awareness and availability of vaccination is low in this section of the society and vulnerability is high. Senior BMC officials with their team of doctors and health workers were present at the occasion. Their support was crucial in making this camp a success.
Commenting on her latest initiative, Sanjana Runwal, Founder of Clean-Up Foundation said, “It is our endeavour to provide the garbage workers and rag pickers with the kind of support that is not easily available to them. That’s why we are conducting this free vaccination campaign in association with MCGM. With the pandemic backdrop, vaccination was something highly needed for them. Based on our extensive primary research on the rag pickers, we found that even after being in the second year of the pandemic, there is a lot of misinformation, doubt and concern about vaccines and their impact on one’s health. This event was planned with the clear objective of providing valuable insights as well as vaccination to safeguard the health of solid waste workers and garbage cleaners.”
