In an encounter late Tuesday, two masterminds behind the firing outside actor Disha Patani’s Bareilly home were shot dead by the UP Special Task Force (STF) in Tronica City. The duo were identified as Ravindra, alias Kallu, who hailed from Rohtak, and Arun, resident of Sonipat, both lived in Haryana. As per police, the duo was a part of Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang and were active members who were prime suspects and wanted in many cases.
The firing incident
The firing incident outside Disha’s home happened on September 12 around 3:45 a.m., creating panic in her neighbourhood. A case was registered by Disha’s family at the Kotwali police station. Post the case registration, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave directions to solve the case as soon as possible, as the state has a zero-tolerance policy on crime.
The swift action was based on the CCTV footage and crime records from neighboring states, and the suspects were traced in no time. As per the information by police, in a joint operation with Delhi Crime Branch, the key suspects opened fire on officers who tried to arrest them and in exchange the duo was critically hurt and succumbed to their injuries while being treated in the hospital.

Accused involved in many cases
At the encounter site, police recovered a Glock pistol, a Zigana pistol, and numerous live cartridges. Police revealed that one of the accused, Ravindra, had a history of being involved in many crimes.
SP of Noida STF, Rajkumar Mishra, shared that they had direction from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for immediate action in this case. “On Wednesday, a joint team of the Noida unit of the UP STF and Delhi Police engaged in an encounter with the culprits, during which both were seriously injured and sent to a hospital for treatment. During treatment, both were declared dead by doctors. Ravindra was involved in several cases. A Glock and Zigana pistol, along with several live cartridges, were found on the accused.”
Sharing information about the faceoff with the criminals, Additional CP (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwaha said that while we were trying to arrest the criminals, they started firing and in the process SI Rohit was shot in his left hand, Head Constable Kailash was also injured. “Two Head Constables of UP STF, Ankur and Jai, also got injured,” Kushwaha noted.
