The 53-year-old Tollywood actor Fish Venkat, known for his comedy and negative roles, breathed his last on Friday at a hospital in Hyderabad. He had been suffering from kidney ailments for a long time and was in need of a kidney transplant.
A month ago, Venkat’s daughter Sravanthi disclosed that her father was in need of a kidney transplant and shared that actor Prabhas’ assistant had called her to offer financial support for the transplant. Last month, Sravanthi shared, “My father isn’t well, he is serious and needs at least Rs 50 lakh. I received a call from Prabhas’ assistant, who offered financial assistance. He even asked to be informed when the transplant is scheduled.”
However, a few days later, it was confirmed by another family member that it was a fake call and no such help had been offered. The family member said, “We have been answering every call we get, hoping someone might help us. Some unknown person called us pretending to be Prabhas Anna’s assistant. We found out later that it was a fake call. He doesn’t even know something like this is happening. We have not received any financial help yet.”
