Sonipat: The District Administration, Sonipat, has entered into a five-year partnership with SOS Children’s Villages India to provide care and support to 90 children under the Kinship Care Programme. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Sh. Sushil Sarwan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Sonipat, along with Dr. Anmol, City Magistrate, and Dr. Ritu Gill, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), Sh. Sumanta Kar (CEO, SOS Children’s Villages India) in the presence of representatives from SOS Children’s Villages India.
Through this partnership, SOS Children’s Villages India and the Government will work together to support the holistic development of children focussing on care, protection, physical and psychosocial well-being along with enhancing their social skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Sushil Sarwan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Sonipat, said: “The well-being of children is the foundation of a strong, compassionate society and nation. Through this partnership with SOS Children’s Villages India, we aim to ensure that 90 children in Sonipat grow up in the warmth and security of their extended families under the Kinship Care Programme. Together, we are committed to giving these children the care, protection, and opportunities they deserve to build a brighter future.”
