Actor Dhanush visited the Palani Dhandayuthapani Swamy hill temple located in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district on September 26. He was accompanied by his sons, Yathra and Linga, as they offered prayers at the sacred site. Upon arrival, the family took a rope car to reach the hill shrine, which is situated at an elevation of approximately 324 metres.

At the temple, Dhanush participated in the significant Kala Pooja, a special worship ceremony dedicated to Lord Muruga. After the ritual, he received darshan and engaged in prayers, expressing his devotion in the serene environment of the temple. An official from the temple Devasthanam subsequently honoured him on behalf of the temple, acknowledging his visit.

After spending some time within the temple grounds, Dhanush and his children returned to the foothills via the rope car. His visit attracted attention, and many devotees and fans gathered in the vicinity of the temple to catch a glimpse of the actor as he exited the premises.

The Palani Hill Temple, also known as Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple, is recognised as one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga, known as Arupadai Veedu. This temple is revered and draws millions of pilgrims every year, making it a pivotal site for worship and spiritual practice. The temple’s elevated position offers not only a place for prayer but also a remarkable view of the surrounding landscape.

Dhanush’s Recent Activities and Achievements

Prior to his visit to the Palani temple, Dhanush participated in a pooja ceremony for his upcoming film at the Maranadu Karuppanasamy Temple in Maranadu village, located near Ilayangudi in Sivaganga district. The event was attended by other cast members of the film, which notably includes actor Vadivelu in a leading role. This film is directed by Tamilarasan Pachamuthu, who previously helmed Lubber Pandhu.

On September 26, Dhanush also received significant recognition at the 72nd National Film Awards, where he was honoured with two National Awards. President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards, which took place outside New Delhi for the first time. Notably, Dhanush was awarded for Best Tamil Film for ‘Raayan’, a project he both directed and starred in.

Additionally, Dhanush received a Special Mention for his performance in ‘Captain Miller’. With these accolades, he has marked a significant milestone in his career as a director. Following these achievements, he is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘OM: Chapter 1’, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy, further expanding his diverse portfolio in the film industry.
