The CSR Journal Magazine

On Wednesday, the office of the Mayor in Delhi received an alarming email containing a bomb threat, triggering an immediate response and increased security measures at the Civic Centre. The email purportedly threatened a bomb explosion at precisely 2.11 PM and included unsettling phrases such as “Delhi Banayga Khalistan,” “Bomb Dhamaka yan,” and “Gaddi Aatmaghati Hamla.” Furthermore, the message named Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar as adversaries of the Khalistan movement, also referencing the “Khalistan National Army.”

Thorough Inspection Conducted by Authorities

In light of the threat, local law enforcement, alongside the Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad, initiated a comprehensive examination of the Civic Centre premises. Fortunately, no suspicious items or activities were detected during the inspection, leading to the conclusion that the Civic Centre was secure. Following the threat, security personnel were briefed on the situation and instructed to heighten their vigilance.

Heightened Security Protocols in Place

Entry to the Civic Centre is now subject to strict verification processes, with constant monitoring through CCTV surveillance. Staff members have been advised to notify police immediately should any unusual activities be observed. Authorities stated that all essential preventive measures are functioning efficiently, with the overall condition described as under control while ongoing vigilance remains a priority.

Coordinated Response to Ensure Public Safety

The comprehensive response plan highlights the commitment to ensuring the safety of the Mayor and the security of the Civic Centre in the wake of the threats. The proactive measures serve to reassure both staff and the public that their safety is paramount, with law enforcement on alert for any further developments related to the incident.
