The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a warning to passengers regarding fraudulent websites that allegedly impersonate the official Air Suvidha 2.0 platform. The advisory, released on July 25, 2026, emphasises the need for vigilance as these misleading sites redirect users to dubious payment gateways.

In its advisory, the Ministry clarified that all services under Air Suvidha 2.0 are offered free of charge, and individuals are not required to make any payments when submitting the Self-Declaration Form. Passengers are urged to stay cautious and ensure they are using the official government website before providing any personal or travel-related information.

The Ministry specifically highlighted that any payments made on unauthorised websites claiming to offer Air Suvidha 2.0 services are not legitimate. They recommended that passengers exclusively utilise the official portal for accurate information and instructions.

Official Portal and Safety Awareness Encouraged

The Ministry’s warning underlines the importance of relying on authenticated sources for information regarding travel procedures. Passengers have been advised to verify the website URL meticulously and refrain from sharing sensitive data on questionable platforms.

This advisory aims to enhance awareness among travellers and contribute positively to public safety. By highlighting these fraudulent activities, the Ministry seeks to protect passengers from potential scams that could jeopardise their travel plans.

Travelers are again reminded that authoritative information will only be disseminated through official government channels. They should remain sceptical of unofficial sources that do not correspond with the recognised government website.

Passenger Traffic Trends in Domestic Aviation

Nonetheless, the monthly data shows a slight decline in passenger numbers. The report indicates that domestic airlines carried 134.64 lakh passengers in June 2026, a decrease from 136.04 lakh passengers in May 2026, reflecting a monthly drop of 1.03 per cent.

The traffic report also includes data on passenger load factors for scheduled airlines during June 2026. Among these, Akasa Air recorded the highest passenger load factor at 92.2 per cent. Other airlines followed, including SpiceJet at 87.8 per cent, Air India Group at 85.5 per cent, IndiGo at 85.1 per cent, and others, showcasing varying rates of capacity utilisation.
