Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda and his wife, actor-entrepreneur Lin Laishram, have delighted fans with the announcement that they are expecting their first child. The news comes on their second wedding anniversary, marking a special milestone in their journey together two years after their traditional Meitei wedding in Imphal, Manipur.

A Journey Rooted in Theatre
Randeep and Lin’s relationship began at Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group, Motley, where friendship gradually turned into romance. Following a short courtship, the couple tied the knot in 2023. Their wedding adhered to traditional Meitei customs, with Randeep embracing the groom’s role in Manipuri attire and Lin dazzling as a bride adorned with gold jewellery.
Reflecting on his choice to marry in Manipur, Randeep said, “It feels very good. I felt it was only respectful to come and marry in the bride’s tradition. However, I have heard that in Meitei love marriages, the groom has to sit for a very long time. So, that’s something, but I am looking forward to the ceremony and traditions. I want to experience my life partner’s culture that’s why I am here.”

Lin has acted in films such as Om Shanti Om (2007), Mary Kom (2014), Umrika (2015), and Rangoon (2017), while remaining active in other creative pursuits. Randeep’s recent work includes playing the antagonist in Jaat opposite Sunny Deol.
