” Micro credit is all about the grassroots and the bottom most people. If the demonetisation is short term, they it will not affected the micro-credit system, but extending it for a long term can create a dent,” says Muhammad Yunus, Founder, Grameen Bank. In changing times, the usage of technology can be adjusted, mobilised or created for all kinds of financial services. He highlights how the 2% mandate is a good move and can be replicated world over. The money set aside needs to be put to good use inorder to let it create a bigger impact in social businesses.
