Zubeen Garg’s last film “Roi Roi Binale” is a super-hit and one of the most profitable Assamese films of recent times. Including taxes, its gross earnings have concluded at Rs 21.38 crores. Meanwhile, a YouTuber has landed in trouble for releasing the film’s ‘pirated version’ on his channel.

The accused’s name is Rafiqul Islam. It is learnt that the person had uploaded and circulated several scenes from Zubeen’s “Roi Roi Binale” on his own YouTube channel ‘Rafiqul R Blog’, which left the late singer’s fans angry. As a result, a complaint was filed at Panbazar police station in Assam. After that, the Cyber Crime Branch conducted a search and arrested the person.

It is worth noting that, as a tribute to the late singer Zubeen Garg, the Assam government has decided that the GST revenue of the state from the film will be completely donated to the fund of ‘Kalaguru Artiste Foundation’. This fund will be used for the welfare of neglected artists in the society.

Zubeen Garg’s last film

“Roi Roi Binale” released in theatres on October 31. Zubeen plays a blind musician in the film. He is also credited as one of the producers of the film. Directed by Rajesh Bhuyan, “Roi Roi Binale” is billed as the first musical Assamese film. The movie features Zubeen’s original voice recordings.
Fans have been flocking to theatres in droves with teary eyes since the first day to watch Zubeen’s Magic on screen for the last time. As a result, the halls in different parts were housefull. Even Assamese cinema experts were shocked by the incredible rush of advance bookings.

Due to the huge demand from the audience, several closed theatres have opened the doors for Zubeen’s Magic. In short, “Roi Roi Binale” has been a hit at the Assam box office since its opening innings. In such a situation, it is known that taking advantage of the opportunity, the pirated version of Zubeen’s last film is being sold in a big way! Who or what is behind it? The Assam Police was on the lookout for the mastermind who was finally arrested from Goalpara area of Lakhimpur on Thursday.

The development comes amid a probe into the singer’s death. Garg died in Singapore under mysterious circumstances on 19 September while swimming. He was 52. Roi Roi Binale released in 800 screens across India

The film Roi Roi Binale, Zubeen Garg’s final movie, has achieved immense success in Assam, becoming the fastest and highest-grossing film in the state’s history. Its success is attributed to its emotional resonance after Garg’s untimely passing, leading to packed theatres, record-breaking box office collections of over Rs 16 crore within a week, and widespread cultural phenomenon.

The film’s commercial performance is coupled with a deep emotional connection with the public, driving unprecedented demand and shattering previous records for Assamese cinema. The Assamese musical has surpassed 2024’s “Bidurbhai”, which earned Rs 15 crore nett worldwide during its theatrical run.

“Roi Roi Binale” was released on a total of 800 screens nationwide. The demand for tickets to watch Zubeen’s last movie is so high that the hall owners have been forced to cancel the shows of movies like “Kantara Chapter 1” and ‘Thama’ and increase the shows of “Roi Roi Binale”. ‘From morning to night, almost every screen in Assam is showing only Zubeen Magic, keep it up’, this is what the fans think. Not only that, the doors of single screen cinema hall Ganesh Talkies, which was closed during the Covid period, have also been reopened for the film.

“Roi Roi Binale” also stars Mousumi Alifa, Victor Banerjee, Joy Kashyap, Achurjya Borpatra, and Yashashree Bhuyan.
