How the matter came to light?

Locals alleged that a woman and a young man were seen entering the school on Wednesday night. Seeing this, the locals grew suspicious and gathered in front of the school. Soon after, Headmaster Asim Kumar Lahiri called a meeting of the School Management Committee, where it was decided to suspend the night watchman with immediate effect.

Headmaster Asim Kumar Lahiri said, “The night watchman has been suspended for the time being. An investigation into the incident is underway. If the investigation proves he is guilty, the watchman will be completely dismissed.”

However, the night watchman Kanu Debnath completely denied allegations of running a sex racket.

He said, “The woman’s house is next to the school. She was taking a shortcut through the school because she could reach home very quickly through the school. That is why I allowed her to enter.”
