The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) has rapidly evolved into a major global trade event since its inception in 2023. Over just three years, the show has more than doubled in scale and influence, establishing Uttar Pradesh as a key hub for investment, trade, and international business.

Third edition of UPITS

Scheduled from September 25 to 29 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, the third edition of UPITS is expected to be the largest yet. This mega event, an initiative by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, showcases the state’s industrial, agricultural, and cultural strengths on a global platform. The remarkable growth in exhibitors, visitors, and foreign buyers highlights Uttar Pradesh’s expanding industrial landscape and its increasing prominence on the international trade map.

The inaugural UPITS in 2023 was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu and set a strong foundation for the event. It attracted approximately 70,000 B2B visitors, including prominent industry leaders and business professionals, alongside 2,372,000 B2C visitors interested in the domestic market. Nearly 1,914 exhibitors showcased their products and services, while over 400 foreign buyers explored trade opportunities, marking the beginning of Uttar Pradesh’s global trade ambitions.

Surge in participation

Building on this success, the 2024 edition, inaugurated by then Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, witnessed a significant surge in participation. B2B visitors crossed the one lakh mark, nearly doubling from the previous year, while B2C attendance exceeded 3 lakh. The number of exhibitors increased to 2,122, and foreign buyers rose to more than 350, further expanding Uttar Pradesh’s international business footprint. This edition firmly established UPITS as a prominent global trade platform.

Looking ahead, UPITS 2025 aims even higher. Organizers anticipate over 5 lakh visitors this year, comprising 2.5 lakh B2B and 3 lakh B2C participants. The number of exhibitors is expected to exceed 2,500, with more than 500 foreign buyers in attendance. To facilitate smooth interactions, dedicated meeting halls have been arranged, and a QR code–based mobile app will be used for smart registration, enhancing transparency and convenience.

The consistent growth of UPITS underlines Uttar Pradesh’s rapid emergence as a key player in global trade and industry. It not only provides a marketplace for business but also offers a unique platform to highlight the state’s diverse industrial and cultural strengths to the world.
