Seven CRPF Personnel Injured After Vehicle Falls Into Canal in Srinagar, All Stable

On Saturday morning, seven personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sustained injuries when their vehicle plunged into a canal in the Ahmadnagar area of Srinagar. The incident occurred as the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the roadway and into the water.

Medical Response

The injured CRPF members were quickly transported to the Shri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences for medical care. According to an official statement, all seven individuals are currently in stable condition. Following the accident, the vehicle was successfully retrieved from the canal.

Related Incident in Ganderbal

In a separate event on the same day, a suspicious object was discovered and subsequently neutralized along the Safapora-Ganderbal road, leading to precautionary measures implemented by security forces in the vicinity. SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal indicated that the object prompted authorities to cordon off the area and restrict traffic as a safety measure.

Investigation Underway

Officials have not ruled out the possibility that the mysterious object could be an improvised explosive device (IED), and investigations are currently ongoing to determine its nature. A bomb disposal squad was summoned to the site and successfully neutralized the object. As of now, law enforcement has not released a formal statement regarding the situation.
