Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda Mark Wedding with Annadanam at 16 Temples

The CSR Journal Magazine

Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, who tied the knot in Udaipur on February 26, 2026, have chosen an extraordinary way to celebrate their union, by sharing their happiness with fans across India.

Instead of keeping the celebrations limited to private ceremonies, the newlyweds announced a nationwide gesture of goodwill that includes distributing sweets and offering free meals at temples.

Sweet Distribution Across the Country

The couple revealed via social media that on March 1, they will dispatch trucks filled with sweets (mithai) to cities spanning multiple states. The message, posted on their Instagram and X handles, read: “To the beautiful people of this country. You have always been a part of our journeys and our love…” and explained that distributing food and sweets is their way of involving fans in their wedding celebrations.

The sweets and food deliveries are planned for dozens of cities, including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Kochi, and more. These efforts aim to foster a sense of connection with fans who supported the couple throughout their careers.

Annadanam in Temples Nationwide

In addition to the sweet distribution, Rashmika and Vijay are organizing “Annadanam”, the sacred act of offering free food, at many temples across the country. Volunteers and local organizers will host meals at sites in Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.

Temples where Annadanam will be held include well-known locations such as the Shivoham Temple in Bangalore, Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan, Hare Krishna Heritage Temple in Hyderabad, and Sri Kanakadurga Temple in Vijayawada.

A Personal Celebration Shared With Millions

The actors have framed this initiative as a heartfelt tribute to their fans. In their note, they said that celebrating with food is “how India celebrates everything,” and that being able to extend their joy this way would make them “truly happy.”

Their wedding ceremonies, which blended Vijay’s Telugu traditions with Rashmika’s cultural heritage, were private affairs attended by family and close friends. But the couple’s choice to spread sweets and meals nationwide transforms their personal milestone into a public celebration of gratitude and unit
