A startling incident of familial robbery has been reported in Delhi, where a 21-year-old male allegedly threatened his father with a firearm and stole Rs 10 lakh. The accused, identified as Tavleen, reportedly entered their residence accompanied by two accomplices. In a bid to instill fear, he is said to have fired several shots into the air before escaping with the cash.

Police Response and Investigation

Authorities received a call on the Police Control Room soon after the robbery took place, which prompted a swift response team to the scene. Upon arrival, they initiated an investigation and gathered evidence. CCTV footage from the vicinity documented the suspects leaving the premises, providing crucial details for law enforcement.

Identification and Arrest of Suspects

A significant breakthrough occurred when footage captured one accomplice removing his mask around the Anand Vihar area, aiding in their identification. Following the victim’s confirmation that the main suspect was his son, the police escalated their efforts to locate the individuals involved. Tavleen was apprehended in the Mukherjee Nagar area, while his accomplices fled toward Lucknow but were later intercepted near a toll plaza. The apprehended individuals were reportedly residents of Bihar and had previously been employed at the victim’s factory.

Recovery of Stolen Funds

The total amount stolen, Rs 10 lakh, has been successfully recovered. During the interrogation, Tavleen disclosed that he possessed knowledge regarding his father’s plans to transfer a significant sum of money, which influenced his decision to orchestrate the robbery. Further examination into the backgrounds of the arrested individuals is currently ongoing, as investigators seek to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Separate Police Case Involving Suspicious Death

In a separate but equally alarming occurrence, police in the Hari Nagar area of west Delhi responded to a call around 2 PM regarding a young girl presumed to have been killed by family members, whose body was allegedly being taken for burial. Officers intervened and took possession of the body, which has since been dispatched for a post-mortem examination. Family members are under questioning, and further actions will depend on the subsequent findings from both the investigation and the post-mortem report.
