A 16-year-old student was tragically killed after intervening in an altercation involving a group of local youths outside a government school in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. The incident occurred after the boy had completed a special class and was leaving the school premises. Witnesses reported that he observed a heated argument escalating into a physical fight involving another boy he was acquainted with.
According to police officials, the student stepped in with the intention of calming the situation but became the target of the assailants. He sustained multiple injuries, including severe blows to the chest. Following the assault, he collapsed at the scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Injured Victim Receiving Medical Attention
The individual whom the deceased was attempting to assist is currently undergoing medical treatment. Superintendent of Police Nikhil provided updates on the situation and confirmed that those involved in the altercation were minors from the same neighborhood, all having attended the same local school. The Superintendent remarked that the victim was familiar with his assailants, emphasizing the tragic nature of the incident.
