What is Ceasefire: क्या होता है सीजफायर, भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच बनी सहमति, जान लीजिए इसके नियम
What is Ceasefire: भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच संघर्ष विराम (India Pakistan Ceasefire) हो गया है।
India Pakistan Ceasefire
What is Ceasefire Line:
India’s First Hydrogen-Powered Truck Launched by Adani Group for Mining Operations
In a major step toward decarbonising industrial transportation, Adani Enterprises Ltd, the primary arm of the Adani Group, has introduced India’s first hydrogen fuel cell-powered truck. This pioneering vehicle, which marks a significant milestone in India’s clean energy transition, will support the company’s mining logistics, with the initial deployment at the Gare Pelma III coal mine in Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, officially inaugurated the hydrogen-powered truck in Raipur. This truck will facilitate coal transport between the Gare Pelma III Block and the state’s power plant. Applauding the initiative, he emphasised the state’s leadership in sustainable development and responsible energy practices, stating, “Chhattisgarh not only supports the nation’s power needs but also sets new benchmarks in sustainability.”
Each truck in this new fleet is fitted with three hydrogen tanks and is capable of carrying loads up to 40 tons over a distance of 200 kilometers. The trucks operate on hydrogen fuel cells, which emit only water vapour and warm air, offering a quieter and cleaner alternative to traditional diesel vehicles. This effort aims to phase out diesel-run trucks in favor of environmentally friendly alternatives.
The project is a collaborative undertaking by Adani Natural Resources (ANR) and Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), both entities under Adani Enterprises. ANIL is responsible for supplying the hydrogen fuel cells, furthering its portfolio that includes solar panels, wind turbines, batteries, and green hydrogen. By integrating smart technology and eco-friendly energy solutions, Adani aims to revolutionise logistics in the mining sector.
Dr. Vinay Prakash, CEO of Adani Natural Resources and Director at Adani Enterprises, highlighted the broader strategy behind the initiative: “Our hydrogen truck project is part of a holistic move toward cleaner mining. By utilising solar power, digital automation, tree transplantation technology, and semi-autonomous dozer push systems, we are building model mines that have minimal environmental impact.”
As diesel-fueled equipment continues to dominate the mining sector, the adoption of hydrogen fuel offers a cleaner substitute that reduces both emissions and operational noise. This transition supports India’s broader goals of reducing crude oil imports, curbing carbon emissions, and promoting energy self-sufficiency.
Adani Enterprises, the group’s flagship company, has a proven track record of incubating and scaling infrastructure-driven businesses. From ports and energy to data centers and airport management, Adani Enterprises has diversified into areas that fuel national development. With a strong push toward the green hydrogen economy and sustainable practices, the company continues to unlock long-term value for stakeholders.
This deployment marks not just a first for India but also a significant achievement for Asia, as Adani becomes the continent’s pioneer in integrating hydrogen trucks and semi-autonomous dozer technology into mining operations, setting the pace for a cleaner, more efficient future.
India’s Compound Archers Strike Gold in Shanghai, Madhura Dhamangaonkar Leads Medal Rush
India’s archery contingent delivered a memorable performance at the Archery World Cup Stage 2 in Shanghai, bringing home a rich haul of medals and making the tricolour fly high on the international stage. The highlight of the campaign was the men’s compound team clinching gold, while Madhura Dhamangaonkar emerged as the star of the show with her maiden individual World Cup gold and two more medals to her name.
Indian Teams Shine in Compound Events
In the men’s compound team event, the Indian trio of Abhishek Verma, Ojas Deotale, and Rishabh Yadav displayed nerves of steel and precision under pressure. They faced a strong Mexican team in the final and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 232-228. The Indians maintained steady form through all four ends, with their consistent shooting ensuring a well-deserved gold medal. Earlier, the team had overcome Denmark in a close semi-final and defeated Great Britain in the quarter-final, underlining their dominance in the compound discipline.
The women’s compound team, featuring Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Madhura Dhamangaonkar, and Chikitha Taniparthi, put up a spirited fight throughout the tournament. They advanced to the final after impressive wins over Kazakhstan and Great Britain. However, the final saw them up against a formidable Mexican side, and despite their best efforts, the Indian women settled for silver after a 221-234 loss. The margin may have been wide, but the Indian team’s journey to the final was marked by resilience and teamwork.
Madhura Dhamangaonkar’s Golden Comeback
Madhura Dhamangaonkar’s individual journey was nothing short of a fairytale. Returning to international competition after a break of over three years, she showed remarkable composure and skill. In the women’s compound individual final, Madhura edged out USA’s Carson Krahe by a slender 139-138 margin. After taking an early lead, she held her nerve despite a late challenge from her opponent, sealing her first-ever World Cup gold. Madhura had earlier defeated Turkey’s Hazal Burun and India’s top-ranked archer Jyothi Surekha Vennam in the knockout rounds, proving her mettle against some of the world’s best.
The medal rush did not stop there. In the mixed team event, Madhura paired up with Abhishek Verma to clinch bronze, overcoming Malaysia in a tight third-place playoff. This was yet another testament to the depth and versatility of India’s compound archery squad.
Rishabh Yadav, part of the gold-winning men’s team, also made headlines by securing his maiden individual World Cup medal. He won bronze in the men’s individual compound event after a dramatic shoot-off against South Korea’s Kim Jongho, further adding to India’s medal tally and showcasing the country’s emerging talent in the sport.
India’s overall performance at the Archery World Cup Stage 2-two golds, one silver, and two bronze medals-signals a bright future for compound archery in the country. With the discipline set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games in the mixed team format, these results offer genuine hope that India could soon break its Olympic archery medal drought.
The Shanghai campaign not only brought medals but also demonstrated India’s growing depth, consistency, and hunger for success on the world stage. With archers like Madhura Dhamangaonkar making stunning comebacks and young talents like Rishabh Yadav rising through the ranks, Indian archery is poised for even greater achievements in the years to come.
India and Pakistan Agree to Immediate Ceasefire Following U.S.-Mediated Talks
In a significant development, India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire, ending weeks of escalating tensions. The breakthrough came after intensive negotiations mediated by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who announced the agreement following a “long night of talks”. The ceasefire is about to begin from 5 pm on May 10, 2025.
The ceasefire was prompted by a series of military strikes, including India’s Operation Sindoor, which targetted what it described as terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Pakistan responded with its own operation, “Bunyan Marsoos,” leading to significant casualties on both sides .
US Plays a Vital Role in this Ceasefire
The United States played a pivotal role in facilitating dialogue between the two nations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio commended both India and Pakistan for their “wisdom and prudence” in reaching the ceasefire agreement . The international community has expressed hope that this development will pave the way for sustained peace and stability in the region.
As both countries move towards de-escalation, the focus now shifts to rebuilding diplomatic relations and addressing underlying issues that have fueled decades of conflict.
Addressing the media, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, however, said the ceasefire was worked out directly between the two countries and did not mention any US mediation efforts. The next talks with Pakistan will happen on May 12.
“Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) called the Indian DGMO this afternoon. It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land and in the air and sea with effect from 5 pm,” Misri said.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said the government had always strived for “peace and security” in the region.
“Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Dar tweeted.
