Bengaluru Woman Kills 6-Year-Old Daughter After Husband Objects to Her Talking to Another Man

The CSR Journal Magazine

Bengaluru was left shaken after a disturbing incident in the Hennur police station limits, where a 30-year-old woman allegedly killed her six-year-old daughter before attempting suicide. The incident occurred late on Sunday night, January 4, in Maruti Layout, drawing attention to yet another case of domestic conflict ending in tragedy.

Victims Identified

The accused woman has been identified as Niruta, a native of Nepal, while the child has been named as Krithika (6). Niruta is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital and remains in critical condition. The child was declared dead by doctors.

Niruta and her family had migrated from Nepal to Bengaluru nearly ten years ago. She married Kishan, also a native of Nepal, eight years ago. Kishan works as a security guard, while Niruta was a homemaker. The couple had been living with their daughter in Hennur for several years.

Frequent Arguments Over Phone Calls

According to police, the couple had been frequently arguing over Niruta’s prolonged phone conversations with another young man. Kishan reportedly suspected an extramarital relationship and often questioned her about her mobile phone usage, leading to repeated domestic disputes.

On the night of January 4, Kishan allegedly tried calling his wife multiple times but found her phone busy. When she finally answered, a heated argument reportedly ensued. During the call, Kishan questioned her about whom she was speaking to and allegedly threatened to inform her parents about her behaviour.

Chilling Warning

Police sources revealed that Niruta, enraged by the confrontation, allegedly told her husband that it would be their last conversation and threatened to kill their daughter and end her own life. She then disconnected the call and did not respond to subsequent attempts to reach her.

Fearing the worst, Kishan rushed home around 11 pm. Peering through a window, he reportedly saw both his wife and daughter hanging. He immediately broke open the door and rushed them to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared the child dead, while Niruta was admitted in a critical condition.

Police Probe Underway

The Hennur police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident. Officials stated that the woman remains under medical treatment and police watch as the investigation continues.
