In the fifth set, Zverev managed to seize the advantage, moving ahead 4-2 with a decisive overhead smash. He maintained his composure to ultimately conclude the match. Although Halys made a valiant effort to extend the contest, including saving a match point with a bold shot, a subsequent error sealed his fate.

Following this intensely contested match, Zverev is set to face No. 25 seed Alejandro Tabilo in the upcoming third round.
