Amid the ongoing spree of murder, where wife kills husband with help of lover another such case had made it to the headlines. This shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district. A 29-year-old man, Yousuf Khan, was allegedly murdered by his wife Tabassum and her lover Danish in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh.

Police revealed that the accused tied his hands, fatally stabbed him in the stomach. As if murder weren’t enough the accused wife poured acid on the victim’s body, and later set it on fire. His body was dumped near an abandoned brick kiln in Kasganj district.

Extramarital Affair Suspected as Motive

The incident came to light after the victim, Yousuf’s family, had lodged a missing complaint on July 29. This comes after Yousuf Khan left home for work and did not return back. On August 4, police found the charred remains of an unidentified man in bushes near a brick factory. Due to the acid burns and advanced decomposition, identification was difficult. The body was eventually confirmed as Yousuf’s based on clothing and slippers.

Further investigations into the matter revealed that Tabassum was allegedly in a relationship with Danish. Danish had initially befriended Yousuf under the guise of helping him find employment. Over time, Danish began visiting the couple’s home frequently and grew close to Tabassum. Family members believe the two conspired to kill Yousuf, whose opposition to the affair had caused increasing tension in the family.

Post-Mortem Confirms Brutal Killing

According to the post-mortem report, Yousuf’s hands were tied behind his back, and he was stabbed with a sharp object in the stomach, leading to instant death. His body was then subjected to acid burns and set ablaze. The accused burned the body, likely in an attempt to destroy evidence and prevent identification. The corpse was later found infested with maggots.

The victim’s cousin, Mubeen Saifi, stated that Danish used his false friendship with Yousuf to gain access to the house. He claimed Tabassum’s behavior had changed in recent months. Saifi further revealed that Tabassum frequently spoke to Danish over the phone, which led to disputes between the couple. The family believes the murder was premeditated and demands the strictest punishment.

Police Arrest Wife, Manhunt for Lover Ongoing

Following the murder, the police arrested Tabassum however, Danish remains absconding. Police are also investigating the possible involvement of other individuals, including some of Yousuf’s extended family members. “We are conducting raids at multiple locations to arrest the absconding accused,” said Circle Officer (Chharra) Dhananjay. The case has been taken up with high priority by the Dholna Kotwali police.
