Incident Overview in Anand Parbat

One individual lost their life and five others sustained injuries following an incident involving a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus in the Anand Parbat area of Central Delhi on Saturday. The collision occurred on DB Gupta Road, where the bus reportedly struck a scooter, leading to severe consequences for those involved.

According to preliminary reports, both men riding the scooter suffered significant injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, one of the riders was declared dead upon arrival. The bus allegedly lost control after the initial impact, resulting in injuries to at least four additional individuals in the vicinity.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. A senior official from the transport department confirmed that the DTC has commenced a thorough examination of the incident, stating, “The DTC has initiated a probe into the incident. Full details are being collected.” Further information regarding the crash is expected as the investigation unfolds.

Separate Accident in Dwarka

In a different incident in southwest Delhi, a truck collided with two motorcycles carrying four individuals near the Crescent Apartment red light in Sector 18, Dwarka, around 12.45 am on Saturday. The police reported that one of the victims, identified as Gaurav, suffered a critical head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services transported Gaurav to Indira Gandhi Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. His remains have been moved to the mortuary at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. Hitesh and Harshit were initially admitted to Indira Gandhi Hospital before being referred to more advanced medical facilities for further treatment. Dhruv was taken to Max Hospital but was found unfit to provide a statement regarding the incident.

Legal Actions and Ongoing Investigations

Following the Dwarka accident, police apprehended the truck driver, identified as Hotam Singh, aged 41, a resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The authorities have seized the truck, both motorcycles involved, and other relevant evidence as part of their investigation.

A crime team has been dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough examination and document the accident site. A case has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 281, 125(a), 125(b), and 106(1). The investigation is ongoing to ascertain the precise circumstances that led to the collision.

These two separate accidents have resulted in two fatalities and eight injuries across Delhi. While the truck driver has been detained and a case filed in relation to the Dwarka incident, further details regarding the Anand Parbat crash remain pending as the DTC continues its inquiry into the matter.
